    You do have to rebuild Coilovers after a while. I know the v3's are fully rebuildable but not sure about the v1's. Motorsport suspension gets rebuilt regularly

    Those figures were before we started to try and corner weight it. Obviously when you stick a driver in it throws the right hand side out. Managed to get the front perfect, but the rear wouldn't play ball

    150bhp is no problem. Pre 2002 will map to 210 post 2002 will map to 230. Have a gander at the 20v section and post in there and I will help you out

    its not far off 50/50 when i had a go at corner weighting mine, i took a picture of the scales. will try and dig the pictures out later. we managed to get the front perfectly weighted, but the back was a pain in the hoop. i think my 20vt weighed 1274kg with driver and half a tank of fuel

    pretty sure the passat runs an external water pump aswell. engine mounts will need changing aswell. real chore to use the passat engine, which is why they are cheap.

    do you mean trying to set the corner weight up? I had a go but the back end is really hard to get the distribution right and the suspension sits too high on one side

    I've found that standard wishbone bushes suck. When they fail the car pulls all over the road when you accelerate and decelerate. The solution is to fit polyurethane bushes or Audi tt bushes

    The thing is the turbo won't really make any pressure until it's under load when u drive it. U will hear the turbo whistle loud when a pipe is leaking. If u have a little hole it won't be as loud. Try disconnecting another pipe for a comparison

    you dont have to rev it to death, just drive down a quiet road. you wouldn't hear it at idle anyway.

    it wouldn't boost at low rpm. the turbo only starts making boost around 2.5k. try looking for a boost leak. if you can hear the turbo really loud then it will most likely be a leak.

    white smoke indicates a broken turbo. does it only cough when you put your foot down hard? if you drive steady and increase the revs without loading it up does it run ok?

    it only makes 4-5 psi? is it running on a factory map and actuator settings? you must have a boost leak somewhere. can you hear the turbo whistle really loud? if it makes boost ok, but misfires under load it could be the coilpacks.( or ignition amplifier as its an AGU engine) if the boost pressure isnt there then i would say boost leak is the favourite, followed by sticky actuator, faulty N75 and finally wank turbo. any white smoke out of the back?
