Thanks for the info. Guildford's not too far from me, I'm just down in Portsmouth so might be worth a try.
-
It's some old FoxGuard thing, don't know much about it.
-
My previous car had full closure but the windows often used to take it in turns not to close which was really frustrating as you couldn't rely on it, so would be nice to get it working on my C.
-
Yeah, my alarm does currently control the central locking. You mention about closing the sunroof as well? I've got a 2.0 16v but it is an early one with the old interior, and thought I'd read somewhere earlier that the closure of sunroof was only added in a bit later on. Can someone please advise me of this? I guess I can always try it out myself with the sunroof open and the key held in the door. Out of interest, in what order should everything close? I know the passengers window closes before the drivers one, but when should the sunroof close?
-
Don't know if this has been covered before, but is it an easy task to link my alarm/central locking remote to activate the closure of the windows? I've been thinking about it for a while and remember reading on here some time ago about how if you hold the key in the lock it closes the windows, and finally got around to trying it this morning and it works! I'm now therefore quite keen to see if I can get this linked up to work with my remote. Any ideas?

Spotted J** DUV this morning at about 8.20ish in Goldsmith Avenue in Portsmouth. I pulled out in front of you and you then let another car out as well.

Halfords. Happened to be passing so thought I'd go take a look to see if they had it so I could post the correct name on here, otherwise I'd have had to wait until I got home this evening.

The product was 'Ambersil Auto Groom Foaming Upholstery Cleaner'.
-
I used a foam upholstery cleaner on my head lining at the weekend and it's come up a treat! Looks and feels no much better. My partner had commented that it felt a bit like an old taxi with the grubbiness of the head lining but now it lovely! I'll see what it's called and let you know. Hopefully there won't be any delayed sagginess, as my previous car suffered from that on the doorcards after being professionally valeted.

Justmatz Group Buy - (form. Corrado Key Ring)

Any more news on whether we can get a group buy on these mats? -
Since joining the club, I've not even had a copy of the magazine yet!

Think the site is still down.

That's sort of what I'd expect. Just thinking though, and I actually have a different key for the driver's door, so chances are that when the driver's door lock was replaced by a previous owner, it wasn't set-up right.
-
That's pretty good mileage for an 'H'.
-
Oh ok. Maybe I'm just expecting it to do something it doesn't! Guess I'm just used to other cars where you can press the door pins down and it activates the whole lot. Kind of handy though if you are driving slowly through a bad neighbourhood!
-
My central locking works fine when using the remote outside the car, i.e. all locks activate, however when sitting in the car and pressing the door lock pin down, it only operates that individual door. Shouldn't it activate the whole system? Any ideas what might be wrong?

Hope so, but it's off to a VW specialist tomorrow for engine mounts. Hopefully it will be much nicer to drive after that. I'm hoping that it makes quite a big difference. At the mo, you have to be quite gentle with changing gear etc, otherwise the car jerks quite a bit! I'm hoping that this will be smoothed out after the new engine mounts are fitted. Since I've had the C (middle of Oct) I've not really been able to accelerate and change through gears quickly, so hopefully this should sort that out. I'm not expecting to be able to just drop the clutch, but I would like to be able to do some quick gear changes with it!

Had call from garage to say it's al fixed. Apparently the two cambelt covers were broken! They have replaced them free of charge.
-
Apparently there was some scale or something that had come through the system and damaged the sensor and it's been properly flushed through now and is supposedly ok. However, I haven't actually got the car back as when I went to collect it yesterday, they had just discovered another problem relating to work they had previously done! When revving the engine, there is a nasty sort of chaffing/rubbing noise coming from the cambelt area so they need to strip it all down again and take a look. At least I'm not being charged for any of this work, and they gave me a lovely Hyundai Accent to drive! The only problem with this is that I have the car booked into another garage tomorrow so hoping I get it back in time.

Finally decided to let the main dealer have another look as if it was another faulty coolant tank then they could jolly well replace it for free again. Anyway, spoke to them earlier and they say it isn't the sensor in the tank, so they've decided to flush all the coolant through and replace it and see how it is. They are also talking about doing another compression test. Surely if the level is fine but the light is flashing then it has to be wiring or sensor, and if they say the sensor is ok then it must be the wiring/connectors. Don't think doing a compression test is really the answer. Anyway, it's supposed to be ready for me in about 1/2 to collect so if it still isn't fixed then I'll get the VW specialist chap that's doing my engine mounts on Wednesday to take a look and I won't be taking it back to the dealer again.

Was the first thing I noticed about the C when I bought it and drove it home, was how stable it was at high speeds. The slightest wind and my previous car (BMW 318is coupe) was all over the place, but not had any problems with the Corrado.

Justmatz Group Buy - (form. Corrado Key Ring)
kerrinmay replied to corradostorm's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah, when II got my mat samples last month they came in a normal envelope, and not actually anything to say who they were from, but as I'd only spoken to JustMatz it was obviously them. I got one small bit of deluxe with binding and a small bit of executive with binding, both in black. They are both nice quality but think I'd rather go with the deluxe as a bit less pile and will hopefully stand up to use a bit more. -

I ordered by keyring this morning, so hopefully I might get it next week. How long did yours take to arrive? -

I got a couple of small samples of JustMatz Deluxe and Executive carpets a few weeks ago and was planning to order some Deluxe ones, but I've been debating what colour to get them in. The quality of the carpet and binding looks nice. Re: the fixing system etc, this is the reply I got from Jeremy last month:
