  1. So perhaps I should get grey ones then to match my interior. Wasn't sure if VW had made different colours as the ones in my car at the moment are black and the only other ones I've seen were on eBay and they were also black. Looking at JustMatz colours I'm not sure what colour to go for now - black, anthracite grey or light grey. What do you guys think would look best - taking into account the colour of my interior?
  2. Did VW only make Corrado carpet mats in black or did they come in different colours to match the interior? I got a couple of small samples of carpet from JustMatz this morning and just wondering what colour I should order. As I have a grey interior then I was wondering about grey, however if VW only ever made the mats in black then I'll probably go for black.
  3. I know what you mean - everytime I look at it, it looks like lots of little flowers!
  4. Great thanks vr6storm. I'm particuarly interested to know what it's called and also if they did the rearseat with armrest in this cloth as at least that way, I will know whether I'm likely to be able to replace my rear bench seat in the same cloth or wether I'd need a re-trim - in which case I'd get the whole lot re-trimmed in leather!
  5. Do the mounting points exist somewhere underneath the rear bench seat so it would just be a matter of swapping the whole rear seat for one with an armrest? Or were the mounting points only put in for those cars that had the centre-armrest style rear seat?
  6. Checked the fluid and the reservoir is still full.
  7. Ok, here are some pics of my interior - which is in a '92 2.0 16v in Green Pearl.
  8. If I post some pics of my interior, would someone be able to identify what my trim is called?
  9. Does anyone know what cloth colours and patterns were available for which models?
  10. Spotted J** DUV Black G60 at about 1pm today parked in Devonshire Avenue in Southsea I was out walking the dog.
  11. Well the clutch finally gve up yesterday morning. Got in the car and the pedal went straight to the floor and wouldn't return unless you hooked your foot underneath and pull it back up. Got it booked into garage for Tuesday - just have to hope I can get it there. I tried the car a bit later on and after a few pumps of the pedal it seemed to be working (just about) so I'm going to try and limp up to drop it off at the garage tomorrow.

    Respray

What do you think I should expect to pay to just have a door re-sprayed (it's going all pimply but doesn't look rusty)? Also is it possible to repair rear bumpers? The previous owner claimed a shopping trolley went into the back of it but the bumper is slightly distorted (not flat on the top where it was hit) so unless it was a shopping trolley with youths inside it playing silly bu**ers then it must have been something bit heavier than that!
  13. I'd been meaning to ask since I got my car if anyone can tell me what models had the rear armrest? Was it just certain models or an optional extra? Mine's a 2.0 16v with a flat back seat :( but I'd love to find a seat with armrest that I can fit.
  14. Welcome mate! I approve of the colour too as same as mine :)
  15. Thanks for the advice. The clutch seemed completely fine this morning - so will just see how it goes.

    What Tyres?

What make/model of tyres do you commonly use on a Corrado? Mine's currently fitted with Pirelli P6000's (195 50 R15). Should I stick with them or choose something else?
  17. Thanks for the info. Actually had the brake fluid changed by VW a couple of weeks ago - so presumably they would have had to bleed the clutch as well as all the brakes to do it, so I'm guessing it's not that. So maybe it is the master and slave cylinders. I was wondering if the brakes and clutch were all connected as didn't recollect having seen a seperate reservoir, but then thought perhaps they're not as I had an old BMW E30 about 6 years ago and that had seperate systems and I used to carry extra fluid with me to top up the clutch as I had a problem at one point where it used to drain out! That's definately not the sort of problem I want when it's connected up with the brakes!
  18. Great thanks. I'm assuming it has it's own reservoir that I will find in the engine bay somewhere. Has anyone suffered problems in the cold with their clutches? Mine felt a bit strange on a couple of mornings last week and then this morning the biting point felt a bit lower down and didn't feel like quite the same resistance as normal when pressing down on the pedal. After it's warmed up it seems to feel much better though.
  19. Is the clutch hydraulic or cable operated on a 2.0 16v?
  20. Spotted a dark (possibly black or dark blue) C, following me up the Eastern Road heading out of Portsmouth this morning at about 8.30ish . It was a 'J' reg and looked like the front VW badge was in black. First the C was two cars behind me - we had a Polo in-between - and then when we joined the A27 heading eastbound the C was right behind me and then as we headed up the A3(M) it took the slip road towards Bedhampton/Havant.
  21. Filled mine up last night and got 56.69 litres in it and the needle was just above the red when I filled up. I'd also got 331miles out of the tank at that point.
  22. Regarding testing the injectors, can this be done on my 2.0 16v the same way as is described by Henny for the 1.8 16v? Do the injectors come out the same way? Am I likely to break anything trying? If I get an injector out, should I be able to get it back in without problems? I don't really want to try this if there's a chance I'm going to stuff up the car and not be able to use it until I get a spare part or something!
  23. I had great difficulty getting my rotor arm off the other week so got the dealer to do it. Hadn't even considered that it might have been glued on!
  24. Think I'll fill up when I finish work and then check how much I put in. As I must have a 15 gallon tank which is about 68 litres I should get a pretty good idea of how much is left in the tank when the fuel gauge is reading what it reads now - just above the red reserve.
