Anyone know if the late vw ones that you get on mk4s etc fit? They dont stick out as much and look a tad more modern i think

Right, can anyone give the low down/list on what needs to be done when turboing a 16v, whatever turbo i was to use. Not aiming for really big power - 200 bhp @ the wheels would be great though  I know this turboing lark aint cheap  That the moment the EIP tuning exhaust manifold is roughly £270 + carriage etc.. Cheers

You got any idea what power i'd get from the SAAB turbo realistically? Suppose if your gonna go to all that trouble of the conversion you may as well get a decent turbo otherwise it would just piss me off after doing it that i hadn't been done to its full potential. Yeah, there definitley wouldn't be any 'can you guess what it is yet'

In my parents garage there is a rust bucket of saab 900 2.0 turbo(old v reg!). It's basically ready for the scrappy but the engine/turbo have only 75k on them plus both being rebuilt in the last 5k. I'm just having a little day dream for using it for a turbo conversion on my 1.8 16v  Anyone know what turbos the old saabs use and if it'd be worth it all the hassle. I can imagine it being very light pressure plus the old saabs did have a lot of lag :? I know there's a lot of other cost like manifolds and lower compression pistons etc...but, a free turbo seems a good start! Please dont laugh

Oh well, i cant afford them either :( Other priorities that the mo..

How about these jim... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2462091382&category=28648 quite tempted myself

This has happened to me before several times. Havn't found a cure but it always seems to happen when it's very cold. Try again maybe in the afternoon?

Sorry for not responding quicker! Forgot about my fan problem... Henny, is that 70 quid for a bosch one? +VAT? john_wintle, the connector on my original fan has a flat 3 blade terminal. However, so did the mk3 golf one i tried at the scrappy. The connector locator slots (plastic outer bits, not terminals) were spaced out differently and wouldn't fit. Is their any chance you could get a photo of the fan and connection. I looked at a fair few VAG cars in the scrappy and the fans varied quite a bit it seemed. Don't want to buy yours and find its the wrong one Your help much appreciated :)

What make are the OE ones and can you buy them somewhere cheaper than the stealer??
-
Cheers mate. Dont really want to start changing connections over though yet, i'll try and find a straight swap one first. VW wanted 135 quid + VAT for one

Does anyone know if any other car uses the same radiator fan as my 91' 1.8 16v corrado? Part number of my one is 191 959 455 AK. Cheers :)
-
Look really good mate! Different, subtle and cheap :D
-
My lights are already dim enough  They do look really nice though, much more modern looking
-
Not all US corrados have these lights though do they?
-
Yeah forgot about it settling, looks about right. I slammed mine 80mm all round for a while and the rear was noticebly higher than the front. Looked sweet though 8) Scrubbed loads
-
Is there a set left for me? Can you give them my name if there is :)
-
I see what you mean. Its just what your used to isnt it. Superleggras sound like quality wheels though. What finish have you got them in, shiney or the grey?
-
Is that the 80mm drop? Looks more like 60ish to me :?

Get more than one mechanic to check the head gasket. I had pretty much the same symptons so thought it might be the head gasket. A garage tested the coolant and said the gasket was fine. Turned out it was the gasket in the end. Always get a second/third opinion! Good luck

Whats you favourite looking modified corrado? Pics please..

I like those headlights. Do you think there a DIY job cos i've never seen them for sale anywhere before -
It was bugging me too mate. I was gonna ask on the 'corrado spotting' section but it never seems to get much feedback so i didn't bother  Again, very nice and unique car mate :)
-
Sweet car! Love the wheels and fapping huge brakes :) What are the brakes like then, do you have to be a bit gentle with them?
-
I'll borrow yours then mate  We'll go halves then aye
