I wanted one for my VR6 but there was a 6 week minimum delivery time, top notch systems in my experience, normally larger bore pipework than most performance systems too.
-
Just slide the ISV out of the rubber holder once the pipes and electrical connector are off. Doesn't take any time or patience! ;-)
-
Got mine, alright for nothing! :-) Cheers.

They are indeed DDIs, blue mirror glasses, bought in a group buy on here a couple of years back. Will PM you now.. Sorry bud, the Judge just beat you to it. :)

I have a brand new set I'm willing to sell. To be perfectly honest (otherwise there's no point) I had an issue separating the adhesive bit from the backing film. Apparently I was the only one! However I've had a bit of a pick at it and gave up. Other peeps said they used a hairdryer or scalpel blade etc to separate with no problem so they should be fine, I just can't be bothered. If anyone wants them, give me a shout. £35 posted.

Blimey, I've never seen anyone clean calipers up like that before. Good work.

New amp & components - loads of interference - SORTED

In a word .....yes :) There is no interference there to pick up when the engine is off.... -
Not a bad colour that ;-)

Can't help with the part no but have to agree some of the jobs auto glass do are absolutely rubbish. They trashed my rado when they had it, they then had to have it back again to replace the whole screen and all the surrounding trim parts at their cost because the manager agreed it was the worst job he'd ever seen. There were knife marks in the trim, bits of outer trim held on with superglue broken glass everywhere, sealant everywhere and loads of boogered bits of plastic everywhere. They pulled the paint of the wing of the previous car I took there and had to repair that, again at their cost, I won't touch them again. I'd speak to VW about the bit you think is missing and go back to autoglass about it.

Cheers bud

Fairly sure its unused, I seem to remember seeing the same and asking about it.
-
Do you have the part no. for the hose kit you've got there? I'm about to get some for my 288s but don't know the ones I need.
-
The terrible over bumps bit I would say is normal, mine are horrible on any kind of rough surface, brilliant on a good road, awful on a bad road. If your car is swaying however I would say that is not to be expected and probably does indicate shot shock absorbers.
-
I would say its either 2 duff leads (highly unlikely) or that you have a duff coilpack, I think that the coilpack has three coils inside it each serving 2 cylinders. Could be one of those down? Try swapping leads with a known good one to eliminate the leads.

I'm not saying it is the amp but this is EXACTLY the symptoms I had with a dodgy amp, after spending weeks changing/checking everything else. Fine with engine off, intolerable noise/interference with the engine running. Its what you would expect tbh. Secondly, your rear speakers are not running through the amp and are fine, hmmm... -
who fitted the wishbones, you or a garage??
-
Knackered wishbone bush, had exactly the same symptoms on my mates car about a month ago, its the big round bush at the rear of the wishbone. 99.9999% sure from that video. I bet the rubber has departed.

Trod this path more than once, earthing is critical on the amp and HU. If you can't see shiny bright metal then you can't be sure its earthed properly. Between the back seats is fine but make sure its gleaming before you tighten it, don't just bolt it to the seat belt mounting point as it won't work generally. The other thing is try and substitute a different amp, just to eliminate the amp itself. I tried every possible thing before and it ended up being the amp itself. After seperating the cables, putting noise surpressors on HU and Amp etc, it was the Amp. The noise surpressors and separating the cables didn't actually make much of a difference at all, they merely masked problems generated elsewhere. -
No problem at all, its not that drastic a change.

Sorry I can't help but......Aftermath?!....pmsl :-)

I take it we're not talkiing about ISVs as in Idle Stabilisation Valves here then......? Must be a G60 thing?
-
I guess you're right, I've not seen that done before and I really don't like the sound of it! Give me a new wishbone every time, they're not that expensive!
-
My thoughts exactly... Not quite sure what is meant by a plated up wishbone?

Very tidy, those calipers look the business, really contrast nicely with the body work.
