    Sunroof

I've done two Golf Mk 3 Sunroof changes so I'm not nervous about doing the Corrado one, its just nice to have such a detailed guide so you don't spend hours working out how trim panels come off or where the hidden screws are!

What an awesome writeup of the sunroof repair, top marks! :-)
  4. Think it could well of been! funnily enough i didnt spot you!! Electric Blue Clio 1.2....0 to 60 in 13.9s, I tried to keep up off the A3 roundabout...it was never going to happen alas!
  5. Burgundy G60 on the A3 this morning at 0815 approaching Bordon/Longmoor, was it Dub_nut_g60. I was in my other car (clio..cough)!
  6. They sure are cheap, I think you can build them yourself (if you have the skills/will) for even less than that. Does it do sequential injection, I have a feeling it doesn't.
  7. May have been me!! What time? 0730/0745 ish...Saw another dark one this morning, same area, 0815 ish Probably me then on the first time. On the way to work :( Were you in your C?[/quote:39d46] Yeah , Strom Grey VR6 waved but it was a bit late, will look out for you.

  9. 2 on the A3 this morning, 1 near Bedhampton/Waterlooville and one near Petersfield a few mins later. Both Dark ish.
  10. Thats your auxilliary water pump. Its quite common to have a leak in one of these, I've replaced 2 before, the newer ones are better than the originals. £62.98 from GSF including 10% discount.
  11. its just the price around £10 for the peter russek or £80 ish for the bently  ,i know which id rather have in the garage getting covered in oil and grease Indeedy :)
  12. Not seen a 2.9 manual, afaik the torque figures are exactly the same, I've done two head rebuilds and chains/clutch etc using the yellow bentley manual, no problems.
  13. Omfg N/S & O/S/R Trim Clips: £150 Labour, £3.32 Parts, £180.15 Total!!!!!

    Exhaust Popping

Thats the one sounded wicked with a RamAir foam filter too!
  15. Those prices are outrageous, but typical from a main dealer. For instance the ribbed belt (from GSF) @£20, its the same bosch part would take no more than 15 mins for a competent person to fit, yet they want £94 ....robbery. Spark plugs and fitting £94, its not a flippin V12! One flexi hose £100, its not like they've included bleeding in there, thats another £65 job. Shocking. :bad-words:

    Exhaust Popping

My standard VR6 gives a pop or two when on the over run, more so when hot. My old Golf VR6 had a a twin 3 inch upswept Scorpion backbox and that was evil for popping, I miss that!
  17. 3 in 5 mins yesterday, by the A32/M27 at Fareham two dark ones and a Red one.. 1000am ish

    Koni/H&R's

Its the size of your wheels that make it still look high, are they 17s?I dropped mine from standard to Konis and H&Rs (admitedly with lowering caps) and it looks miles lower than yours because I'm still on 15 in speedlines. It made a huge difference to the look of the car,

    Koni/H&R's

Mines like that too, 94 VR6. Very little movement when pushing.
  20. Hmm there's your problem, what do you expect for a tenner.....Tracking at best I would say. The camber needs to be right or it won't feel right. How did he measure the camber? What was "his best"? I'd pay the £40 necessary to get the job done properly somewhere else personally.
  21. I seriously hope its worth it Trig, that looks major mate!
  22. Most of us would pay 10k for a new one, but not a 10 year old one with tens of thousands on the clock!
  23. Dark one on the M27 Portsmouth 8 o'clock ish this morning.
