*** Another Lupo Wiper Update *** The passenger side wiper blade listed above has now been superceded, looks like I got one of the last ones. The new part number is V1J2 955 425 A Its called GA5A04 WIPERBLADE on the receipt. I can confirm that its the exact same size as the older part number as I have both at the moment, its just where it attaches to the arm it looks a bit neater. So, parts required are: V6X2 998 406 x2 Drivers side arm with blade. V1J2 955 425 A Passenger side blade (To go on the Corrado driver side).

Im no expert but I reckon that blows the Honduhs up as there high compression engines wheras the g60 is a low compression. Screw compressor on a stock g60? Do you mean its the g60 engine but with a different charger fitted ?

Dont bother with just a drill on the airbox, remove the snorkel thing inside, drive it and see if you like the noise. If you like it and want more then cut out the whole corner at the front wing side. Thats a nice colour Bally, is it aqua blue?

Yeah, show them the membership card and ask for vw parts club discount when you first go in. Some dealers can be difficult about it but most are ok.

For the vr ngk plugs are the only ones that should be used according to everyone ive spoke to. So the dealers it is. I think there also a discount part if ure in any vw clubs

What oil are you using, vr's do use oil but its even worse if the oil's too thin. There are a few different opinions on what oil to use but no-one argues with vw synta silver. -
Star performance come highly recommended from everyone ive heard of that have been there, got a wheel alignement done there myself on Friday. If your a bit nearer Glasgow though Bedrock VW's in Motherwell are also very good.

I say go for it, and in the unlikely event you want to sell your schrick manifold to help fund it give me a shout.

Cant seem to find them, have you got the link? Is it the same ones that were up a few days ago with a broken dial?

*** Lupo Wiper Update *** Ordered my wipers on Tuesday, they arrived today. As mentioned previously the part numbers listed in this thread have been superceded. New part numbers as follows: V6X2 998 406 This is the drivers side arm which now comes with a blade ready fitted. I got 2 of these and both fit the car perfect, no fouling of the bonnet. I also got V6X2 955 425 C This is the passenger wiper blade for the Lupo gti, I have used this on the drivers side of my C and it gives a slightly better fit than the blade that comes with the arm. Basically, instead of wiping right to the very top of the glass so its very close to the roof it drops the blade down about an inch. Its not really neccesary though. All the above came to £53.22 and took me about 10 minutes to fit. It also leaves me with a spare blade for when the passenger side needs replacing.

Got mine booked into Star for friday, how long did it take to get yours done Roddy?
-
Looks good, isnt that the same wheels as the campaigns?

I'm the same, never been on a RR day (only got my car on Saturday). Should be good craic though. Where would the Scottish one be? http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3063

Ordered an uprated headlight loom from H100VW last week, arrived this morning well packaged and is a well made product. Plugged it in with the instructions provided and it works a treat. :D
-
From the pic in your avatar it looks like you just have the facelift grill.
-
H100VW, my loom arrived this morning, just going to have a go fitting it now. I just have to say im glad I spent the money on one, I have seen instructions on how to make them and it does look easy enough but this one looks better put together than what I would have managed, even if it does exactly the same job.

Your front engine mount could well be gone, in first gear, accelerate hard and the engine tips back too far, pipe gets stretched and pops off.
-
It shouldnt have made that much difference, i'd check the simple things first like has everything been plugged back in properly. (Connection to the maf will make a big difference to performance.) I have even heard of maf's ending up facing the wrong way round during installation. (Think it was andyvr6's car was like that when he got it.) If none of that helps refit the standard airbox and see if the performance returns.

Maybe not related, in my experience when the abs is knackered they just act like normal brakes. :? Unless it has been caused by a water ingress on the passenger side knackering and shorting out the ecu causing all sorts of scary moments, but thats another story...
-
Sounds like the abs unit alright, could be possible the abs was faulty and a previous owner removed the light and put in a blanking plate to try and hide it. I take it the square unit thing has an electrical plug going into the side and one into the front as well, if so its definately an abs unit.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over insurance groups so heres what they really are. 1.8 16v 15 1.8 g60 16 In '92 the insurance companies decided to increase the ratings so from '92 on they became. 1.8 g60 17 2.0 16v 17 2.9 vr6 18 vr6 Storm 19 Not sure on the 2.0 8v

Check the vibration dampener on the driveshaft, big rubber donut looking thing, drivers side driveshaft I think. It should be secured but if you can slide it up and down easily then it will be causing vibrations, easy solution, cut it off. Dont be fooled by the rubber apearance though, its metal inside and can be a right pita to get off.
