Aye, came through a week or so ago, gone off the idea of going on track :flower: , worried about breakin somethin but will see on the day. Anyone else thats goin from the area or passin on the way there give us a shout and we could expand the convoy.
-
When u painted it did u sand it smooth or leave it rough, ive heard you get a better finish by leaving it rough as it gives the laquer something to adhere to better.
-
That looks good LowG, if it turns out to be similar to that ill definately be up for one, already registered my interest by email when this was first posted.

Dunno whats with the cover but the fact you get a dvd with live vids of the whole album is quality. 8)

A friend of mine got it on saturday so it must have been out, I got it today and its superb. :D

Chris VR6nos, With or without charger?

It isnt measured in ron over there though, pon I think? Dont know exactly but its somethin like ure 94 would be about 99 over here.
-
Ill admit there great in some ways, especially scaring passengers. Will see how they are after I get my axle bushes, top mounts and engine mounts done. (car goes in tommorow.) :?

i know a few people here are running them and I want to know what you think. Ive had a set fitted for over a week now (standard size) and think there a bit crap. They are controllable on the limit but dont have the outright grip of the Falkens/Pirellis I had on previously. They also seem to cause the car to wander under heavy breaking (although this could be down to some parts that are due to be replaced). Anyone else find this or is it just me? Good for the price though I suppose.

My vr6 - 1 Newish Astra Gsi Turbo - 0 Expected to be slightly behind on this one, after seeing the stats on them, he did get away from me slightly as I got bogged down but as soon as the vr picked up the revs I was all over him. :D

Im going the sunday I think if ure up for a mini convoy again, b-road style. Just hope your temperature probs are sorted for then. :)

Fair enough, I think 150bhp is a conservative estimate for them as well. I would have to say Clio Williams then, as long as its been left standard. Would probably have got a Clio 16v instead my first C if they werent French.
-
Sierra xr4i, 150bhp 2.8 v6 and rear wheel drive, great fun. I would love to be able to get one along side the corrado. The C could come out in the decent weather and the xr4i would be out in the rain.

Heres what ive got in the motor just now, dont think its anything thats been mentioned so far. White Stripes - Elephant Audioslave - Audioslave Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster - Horse of the Dog (Sheer Class) BRMC - BRMC Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf Tool - Lateralus

Club Gti track day at Kames, I didnt think a date was set yet? I dont think its far from Biggar, down that way somewhere. Im hopin ill be able to take me car round.
-
Anyone else going? And is anyone planning on going on track?
-
I prefer the vr6 for obvious reasons, but I say u would be better going for a g60 as u said ure budget is £3k, you would have to spend a lot of time trying to find a decent vr for that price then you would probably have to spend a good bit more to get any problems solved. Insurance is also higher.
-
Before anyone asks, the 24v head wont fit on the Corrado engine, something I already checked out.
-
I think if the idle is too low it will be lumpy and you feel the car shaking about a bit, if its too high you use more petrol at idle.
-
Idle speed from haynes says between 650 and 750 rpm, which is what mine sits at.
-
Innacurate mfa?, whats ure water temp sit at? Has it always got to these temps since you got it?

Grill with closed slats is 535 853 653

And is that the same part no. that is marked on the grill fitted to your car? Theres definately a grill that comes with the slats open, I m sure I heard GPC or somewhere sell it.
