What about Bora lights, they are a bit more square. Does look good though Jim, except the m3 mirrors.

My vr6 has one at the top left corner of the instrument panel, the 16v with clifford alarm has the led on the top of the cowling that surrounds the steering column.

How do the "at the wheels" figures compare Roddy. Maybe AMD and Star work out drivetrain losses differently.
-
There might be something to this, ive just looked out my rolling road report and the last reading taken is at 6000, the readings are in increments of 500 so if the rev limits at 6400 that would explain it.

I think people would definately be interested in that chris, I know I am.

I think its James Renshaw on the Yahoo group, thats the only pic ive seen but apparently his car already had air con installed which made it easier.

If you take your time looking you will find a good vr6 under £5000. Mine has full grey leather on a 95 M reg. Only downside is the mileage has just passed 100k, although this can be a good thing as a lot of high mileage work can already be done, I have a receipt for a cylinder head rebuild and coil pack from 6 months ago and the car is mint. I paid £4700 start of the month so there are good ones out there.

The 2.0 16v is a fantastic model :D Check my sig :thumb right:

Im definately interested in supercharging but dont think it will be an option for me till next year as ive just bought my vr6 and have yet to get it on the road (need to sell my 16v first). I do have some more questions though. The £3100 kit, is that for stage 1 or 2, if 1 how much extra for the stage 2? How do the standard gearbox and clutch cope? I think one of the main issues of the Z-Engineering kit was stalling, how is it with the vortech kit? Is that why the maf is in a different location?

Ive been reading a bit about this on vortex as well, the fitting sounds fairly easy, is this basically what needs done or am i missing something. 1. Remove air intake pipes, air box, maf. 2. Lengthen maf wires. 3. Release tension on serpentine belt. 4. Jack car up, remove wheel arch liner. 5. Remove belt and tensioner. 6. Relocate Carbon Canistor. 7. Install charger and new intake pipes, filter, maf. 8. Tap sump and install oil feed. 9. Make sure everythings put back together. 10. Swap Chip Go have fun. I must be missing something if places are charging about a grand for fitting?

I dont think so, the 2.0 16v has an ecu and lambda sensor that should take care of it.
-
No! you cant have it back :D

If your car is a K reg or newer then you need the cat to pass the mot, if older then go for it. When I bought my 16v the cat had been hollowed out and it flew, when I got one to pass the mot it made a noticeable drop in performance. If you dont mind the hassle then get a decat and just swap them over every mot time.

They look a lot better than the clear ones IMO, I may be tempted to get a set now but dont know if my cars dark enough to pull it off.
-
How much did the sc kit cost if you dont mind me asking, ive seen its $3500 on the VF Site. Did you go for stage 1 or higher? And does the fitting look as easy as they say it is?
-
I think thats g60jet. I have a Richbrook one, cost £35 and ive mounted it beside my headlight switch. Comes with the relay but is very easy to fit, 3 or 4 wires.

The mk3 golf 16v is definately 150bhp, same engine thats in ibiza cupra sport 16v's. Ive heard that the Corrado 2.0 16v engine is actually a better engine and that by adding the injection system from a mk3 golf the power increases to about 155-160bhp. I dont know why its better, the best person to ask about this would probably be aposegil.
-
Injection system and the golf uses a different block I think.

People that dont know how to use roundabouts, they start in the left lane with you in the right then u have to brake as they take "the racing line", even worse when they still dont even realise what they done after nearly breaking the horn with hitting it that much :x Dont even start me on indicators.

Wont the US one be the same as the european one as they are LHD?

Theres Drivers pretty much in the Glasgow town centre but they usually ask for your car for the full day as they get them all in first thing and q them up. I think theres also somewhere in Maryhill, ATS maybe? Ill try an find out. Fat Tony got his done recently I think but I cant remember where.
