pretty much the same as you in design, only I plan to sling some custom fuel tanks either side undernieth the seats as there is plenty of space there. I am using the haldex diff bolted into a syncro rear axle. I was going to say where abouts do you live and I wouldnt mind a look at yours, but I see you are a err few miles away from my village

they dont do a 2wd v6. but the 4wd transfer box could be removed, and the seals of a 2wd fitted
-
The one off the V6 4motion, and the r32
-
its a custom driveshaft job, and no the leon box will not fit a VR cos the bell housing is different, You would have to get a 4motion 6 speed box, make custom shafts up, and then make a custom gearbox mount up. Not too much work eh?
-
Well the descision has been made for me now anyway - I cant get the front half of the prop off without having to remove the engine, so I am going straight to 4wd. Wish me luck! G60JAY, are you running a rallye back axle and viscous coupling then? Did you fit a syncro boot floor ? Ta

the new 6 speed numbers should be pretty tough

if its any consolation your car looks quite cool in that light

Lucky you - I havent driven a corrado since 2 years ago coming up in April!!!!! Poor Me -

lag is defined as the time taken for the turbo to spin up and produce its full spread of power, so if you have the boost wound up it will take longer to achieve that full boost, hence more lag. yeah?

you sick man! -
I have searched around and there are a number of different opinions on the matter...

400 quid for a 2.8 24v??!?!? bloody hell I'll have 2 as spares! to me though, I have to agree with mike, if the vr bites the dust, get a nice low mileage 24v, its the natural progression to the vr, more technology in it, more power, hopefuly better fuel economy, but retaining the VR character. Not many 24v corrados about too which is nice 8)

Dude do you actually change the font your self to red bold italics every time you write storm ?!?
-
cos a) this came withteh car, b) the box action is super slick and c) a VR syncro bell housing is as rare as the poo from a rocky hoss if it turns out that my gearing is very short I will just fit bigger wheels :-)
-
its an 02M box, but so are all mk4 6 speed boxes Its got 2 final drives aswell to confuse the issue a bit more, one for the first 4 gears then another for the last two (or is it 3 then 3? cant remember)
-
would you run VR or the 1.8T then ruffy?
-
The 02m box I had was from a 1.8T seat leon cupra! are they not a bit more toruey? I hope you are right kev. it will be crap with stupidly close gearing and all that power.
-
I dont want the gearing too close. My 1.8T mk2 with an 02M box was ridiculous , 6 speed and just over 4krpm at 80mph!!! it was insane!
-
Hi all, Does anyone know what the gears are lik on the golf V6 4motion? are they long or really close together? I will be running slightly smaller wheels and just wondered what my gearing is going to end up like.
-
p.s. vw syncros still do that stupid three wheel thing?
-
I will probablies get a diff and try that first before I do the 4wd. My car is already fully poly bushed front to back with eibach anti roll bars, so its about as good as it gets
