  1. WOW that is beautiful! I really like that a lot, fantastic :) I have to agree with useing possibly slightly smaller wheels though but its great
  2. there you go! I didnt even have to lift a finger :-) All you dudes with 1.8T rallyes pushing 300bhp should be thinking about an exchange diff from the phat
  3. dude that appears to be 2 different cars there. :? note the alloys are a different design.... that mid engined 24v is a work of at like 8)

    New engine`

I suppose it depends how much you like your 16v and what you have done to it? If its already fairly modified and you dont mind getting your hands dirty then go for it!
  5. AHHHHH! Very nice mate! :D is that a first? That is really good! DId you do that yourself?
  6. me too!! I better not be crap lol
  7. yes I do owe you a drive or 2.... I might even let you drive it first - just in case owt falls off or breaks lol :D End of October is the deadline date.
  8. Well i bloody well hope so Kev! The bast**d thing has taken far too much skin of my knuckles to just be 'reasonably quick' I am getting it running without the charger to start off with, best to make sure its running well on the new engine mounts etc before it gets the massive power hike. It is the late 24v with the variable inlet cam timing and schrick esk inlet manifold (thank god I dont have to spend a fortune on one of those after all this) 8) The charger I have is actually for the 12v VR so I am going to have to adapt it to fit, but it should go on. Its the V1 as opposed to the V1 SQ, so I get the authentic supercharger whine and the strength of the straight cut gears. The main difference is that the throttle body for the 24v motor in on the other side of the engine so I am going to have to run the pipework round the front of the engine, which I suppose is not too bad as it gives me an oppurtunity to fit an intercooler into the system. Then as luck would have it REVO now do a map for a supercharged V6 4 motion, so I will be stumping up for one of those to get the fueling cock on. I am hoping for 300bhp, I dont think thats too unreasonable. I cant wait, I am desperate to get it on the roads again. I have forgotten what they are like
  9. There are a number of ways to bolt the rear end up. I am not doing any such cutting of the rear floor as its not necessary so long as you are prepared to run a custom fuel tank.
  10. I am in for a bit of that I will ask venom motorsport tomorrow morning see what they can come up with
  11. I know the charger is in the inlet but where abouts have you mounted it? the inlet appears to dissapear then reappear right where it left off!
  12. I like the install mate - so where abouts is the charge cooler mounted then? I presume undernieth somewhere? I thought about a dump valve for mine - does it make a pssshhhht noise when you let of the throttle or is it a constant pshhhhhshshhhhhhshshshshshshhhshshshshshh? (as the charger keeps spinning) Very tidy install mate.
  13. Thanks for the advice marra - thats what I will be going for. Ta
  14. funny you should say that - I have decided to buy a set of koni dampers with either H&R or Eibach springs. I am not interested in changing the ride height every ten minutes, and I am not running 10" wide wheels so they are pointless to me anyway.... My old corrado had Koni top adjustables and Eibach springs and it was fantastic (for the 4 weekd I owned it until it got nicked. :( ..) Thanks chaps - you have saved me some cash
  15. A couple more pics to look at.
  16. p.s. I am the Durham area Mr ExTurbo, where abouts are you located? And why are you selling them if they are that good?
  17. exturbo2003, I would be interested in yours but I am in need of a one off set, with vr rated fronts and golf rallye rears. Kev, what do you mean by 'a bit much for a coilover? whats your motor currently sporting?
  18. Would that be Tom Ingram there? Any news of your old beast then? Do you miss it?
  19. I know these have been talked about in the past but I need to know what they are like for certain before I buy some for my car. What is putting me off is that I have heard reports from a couple of people that they are quite poor quality and they provide a harsh bouncy ride. I know someone with a rallye who bought the fixed rate damping coil overs and they are awful! the car bounces all over and is severely under damped. There are a lot of people on this forum have bought them so they must have someting going for them somewhere.... Can I have some objective opinions before i part with the best part of 600 quid Thanks
  20. oh yes I recognise that colour, seen on the old shape primeras mainly yes?
  21. And his profile says 1.8 16V LMAO!!!! :D
  22. haway lads lets not starting fighting here aswell. Jay hasnt got a problem with you or your car dude, he is just voicing an opinion. After all thats what a forum is for is it not?
  23. very nice mate is that the original shade of yellow then? it looks to have a little bit of green in it? Or is it just the light? Or is it your camera? Or is it my eyes?!
