  1. course I am still going 4wd!!! It just mean I am going to have to do some more fabricating thats all 8) is yours drivable yet? I should post some progress pics of mine soon.
  2. p.s. what boost does the standard VR vortech system run at?
  3. I wont be running a massive amount of boost, I have a Vortech V1 am running the standard engine with no modifications (bar a remap) That charge cooler looks pretty trick, Ideally if I was going to get a charge cooler I would want one that has the entry and exit pointing out the same side, that way it will be a lot easier to pipe.
  4. I have a dilemma, I am fitting my vortech supercharger to my v6 motor, and I am debating with myself which will be the best way to route the boost piping. Obviously the charger sit on the left of the engine, where all the belts are, but I have 2 ideas in my head for the piping. 1. Run the piping down and across the front of the engine incorporating a smallish intercooler then back upthe otherside and into the manifold (remember the throttle body is on the other side to the VR) 2. run the boost pipe exactly like a charged VR only run the pipe work straight across the back of the engine, over the other side, then into a charge cooler (with a 180 degree turn in it) and into the throttle body What you do you think? I actually like option 2, cos a I have a big space on the right where a charge cooler can go, and b the pipework routing for option 1 will be very tight cos I have the 4 motion radiator and aircon rad up front too. The only thing I dont like about option 2 is that the air will be making a sharp 180 degree turn, unless I can get a cleverly designed charge cooler to do this. Any ideas or opinions would be great.
  5. I think I would have a look about and see if I could find a Honda VTR SP-1 now thats what arrrrm tarkin about! 8)
  6. thats it if they come in to action then i am selling up and sticking with my motorbike. Take a photo of of me now you tw*t - what? no front number plate? shame. I might have a badge made up that goes on the front of my bike saying f*ckyou or something equally witty :x
  7. Have to agree with Dr mat there - its just an 'old car' how can you pay 6 grand for it anyways, does anyone want to here how much my mam bought it for? considerably less than that :D

  9. eh? So we must live on top of each other then?!?! (geographically speaking) I live in Hutton Henry, where abouts are you?
  10. where abouts near peterlee? I am about a mile south of peterlee And dont use Motorscope - he is the biggest tosser on the planet. Tried to rip me off big style. Got told where to go. never been back since. They ripped the lower spoiler off my mk1, then denied it, and they damaged phats old mk2 VR aswell.
  11. 400 quid for a 4motion engine?!?!?! Where? I'll have it as a spare. No offense but that has got to be wrong.

  13. Stevey boy, I am certain mine is the shortwheelbase version, its the one that came with the MR-S body. Will it still fit?
  14. Ben - did you use those brackets when you mounted the rear axle to your sills at the front? I looked on your picture but unfortunately the 4 post lift is right in the way blocking my view.....typical....
  15. mint! or just fit an 02M 6 speed box and you dont have to do any of this  I can vouch for the later shifter system, its light years ahead of the old shite
  16. ah yes, that will be the charger about to explode
  17. go on then I'll have one  I have one of those TA -01S chassis (i think thats what it is if I remember correctly) that is a short wheel base version of the normal TA-01, will it still fit? Ta Ian
  18. ho ho looking good cheers jimbo 8) option 3 it is!
  19. right then - get a look at this (see attached) I am going for option three, those of you with option 3 already done, did you do the bumper mods yourself? Its gunna look well meaty
  20. uh oh! tin hats on chaps! :rambo:
  21. I have looked at an R32 rear end and I think that style on teh corrado will chavalise my car somewhat... I think option 3 too, but thats the only back end host I have of my car  Fuel tanks wont be an issue as I am going a bit different on this front. The syncro fuel tank is tiny at 45 litres, I am getting some custom tanks made up that will be slung either side of the prop/exhaust under the passenger seats.
