    i had a 1.8T mk2, i didnt really like the turbo delivery. I prefer the crispness of NA.

    how rude lol no car is going to into body shop to get the rest of the little bits sorted out, then its interior in and insured and away! Could still be this christmas! Still umming and ahhing about the charger. We shall see. I love the razor sharp throttle response, and I am worried the drag of the charger will dampen that down a bit.

    not really had a proper go in mine yet, but its fully functional, and the power is in a different league to the VR. Engine characteristics are different too, a lot more low down torque, feels like a proper big engine. I suppose if you put a schrick manifold on a VR you woul have the equivilant of a 24v minus 10 years development? i am impressed. So impressed I might be selling the charger that i have to go on it.

    no no you can fit the 02M components onto the 02A gearbox. I dont know the details, cos i didnt do it, but phatvr6 has done it before. I think the mechanism just plugs into the top of the gearbox. edit: maybes it should be called a mk4 shifter to avoid confusion because you get the mechanism off a mk4 with an 02A gearbox i think.

    I am running VR6 syncro rear arms, which do seem to run less camber, could still be done with a little more dialing out though. I am not running the car that low anyway. am going to suck it and see I think. Not sure about the charger. depends if its going to be an everyday car. 300bhp is a lot of power as is really when you think about it, and considering I can put it all down now and dont waste any through spinning the wheels then its already a bit of an animal.

    roll on next year eh! Have to say i am mightily impressed with the 4wd setup. The camber is all ove the place, as is the tracking probablies, and the thing just stuck to the road and didnt tramline, track or anything. its the feeling of being pushed from behind as opposed pulled from the front (oo er) that is so impressive. I love it!

    just ragged mine up and down my lane, 2 things: 1. second gear in 15mph boot it, absolutely pins me to the seat, in the wet!!! no wheelspin what so ever!!! briliant! exactly what i was after, 2. How feckin loud! it sounds like a race car. now i thought that was down to the total lack of interior, then when i got back to the house i was told i could be heard from miles away haha

    yes you can but you have to fit the whole 02M mechanism including gearbox end

    well it will get its chance at that height, i like the look, its very touring car like. I have an R32 shortshift to go on, and as theres no problems with punching the stereo in 1st 3rd and 5th now, its going to be even with the shorter throw.

    No never used a mk4 tunnel, the corrado one is big enough. Kev the engine makes that noise because a) its not had a good run for about 3 years or something, and b) its the time when the auxilliary air pump should be running, see how it cleans up when the revs drop right down. We will see when i used it in anger! Simon yep its a mk4 shifter, bolted into the tunnel, the stick is really tall, but i really like it.

    well we will see with mine gets tested on the rollers. another question :D does your 6 branch have a flexi in it? I have seen them that dont have one, and somethings got to give! might be worth thinking about if thats the case

    question, how on earth can you get so much extra power from an NA engine than the factory 250bhp?? i dont understand it. Are we saying that if 280bhp is possible from a standard engine, then mine with cams should be good for 300bhp??

    Cheers lads. Kev - nice one mate, you wont regret it - and i have a full image diary for you to look at if you want. KIp, its 10 times more solid than the corrado dash that came out man!! never thought about the back lighting on the other switches - i couldnt really give a shit lol its way down on the priorities :)
