DEBBIE, welcome to the forum, if you get chance the search option will show you a number of posts were similar problems are discussed in depth. Not sure if there was a conclusive solution but all interesting to read. Cheers Andrew

on a more positive note........ I am looking forward to meeting people at the AGM; spending time with people who share a common interest. As someone who has recently bought a Corrado I can certainly vouch for the usefullness of this forum and have yet to register with the CCCGB, I will on the 17th. I hope that everyone who does make the AGM enjoys the day and also puts forward constructive comments to take the Club(s?) forward. Thanks Andrew

Hello I need to get my alloys refurbed, I have a set of Wolfrace Urban Racer wheels which originally came in a shadow chrome(?) finish. Has anyone got the same wheels, or finish? I believe you cant get the same finish when you get a refurb? Is this true and what other options do I have with a refurb? Cheers Lippy

does anyone else think that *if* VW did ever release a successor to the C it would sell as well with a modern engine and interior and the styling left alone? It would mean that all the exterior parts would go into production again, which cant be bad!

PeteJ, give Adrian flux a ring, my experience was cheaper than directline and others have given recommendations on this forum. I am based in Cheshie to so premiums likely to be similar - i am 22 owning a valver! if you use the search there is plenty of info on insurance contacts - in fact I think there is a sticky post somewhere........I am too hungover to go look though! Andrew

welcome to the forum, good luck with any purchase. Corrado's are the dogs! Ibsyj23, it will be even rarer to find low milers in 4/5 years but as a number of people on this forum can testify - never be put off by a high miler, as long as the owner looked after it well the car will just keep on truckin! Looking forward to a drive in the sun now! Lippy

I've got a 2l 16v........... I am averaging 20mpg doing short hops This is all quite subjective, the figures above are according to the on board computer, and depends how heavy your right shoe is........mine is quite heavy! When choosing a model, dont just judge on petrol alone! insurance, power and condition all need to be considered. Thats why I got my valver, good performance with an affordable premium this year. Next year will be looking out for some more horses though! It depends on what type of condition Rado your looking at too, when deciding on what model. For example, I bought a 90k 2.0 16v knowing with good history and was fairly confident the extra was worth it. However, there are a number of people, more mechanically minded than me, who would sooner get the confidence from buying a "project" car replacing many components themselves - therefore knowing the state of their car more thoroughly. Good luck Lippy
