I know this isn't the place, but....Golf mk2 content
bristolbaron replied to holeinmk1's topic in General Car Chat
pretty much everything covered above! I bought my wife a mk2 8v for her first car too, although she hated it as it was an early non PAS model. PAS is a MUST!! -

Good question! I no longer have a corrado and can't remember the positioning of the tabs. I believe the one with eyebrow fits either and the 3 slat is direct fit for a late car and you cut the bottom middle tab for an early car - happy to be proved wrong though! Yes, all good.. i'll take a closer look to confirm if you're planning a journey! -

I wouldn't recommend cutting it, you'll be left with years of grief.. I take it the arches aren't yet rolled? That'd be first step..

My brothers mk2 parked up on the main road.. turn the corner and it's there again! -
Agreed! Easiest way if you only want to take one photo is one through passenger door. The amount of cars for sale I see with NO interior photos is just as boggling!

corrado /mk1-2 golf g60 genuine rallye intercooler - SOLD
bristolbaron replied to fraser1995's topic in Parts for Sale
Guru's pushing it  I just went through all the options when I put a FMIC on mine.. Hardest part is finding a 180 outlet! Quite why Classic Parts are doing the AC cooler though I have no idea! I'm pretty sure it wasn't even that common in Europe.. -
corrado /mk1-2 golf g60 genuine rallye intercooler - SOLD
bristolbaron replied to fraser1995's topic in Parts for Sale
The one you've linked is the smaller, almost 'top mounted' cooler for cars with air con. These aren't suitable for the Corrado bay. The one advertised is the full, front mounted G60 version, which is slightly narrower than the rallye one. This IMO is the best suited for a Corrado as you don't need to cut the towing eye to fit it. Price is about right, these sell for £250-£300. -
That'll depend if it's a mk1 or a mk7 gti
-
The closest we'd ever have to a modern day Rado is the quattro concept..
-
If you're selling parts, put a price up. As it stands I offer £1 for each of the above.

i'd imagine you might not be in luck.. this thread is 3 years old! -
They do indeed! much, much more so that I thought it would. I made a start on the headlights today, one side down, other to go!

bargain! I want it!!

Looks great bud, very clean also! Cheers bud, S club all round! Hmm. I'm not gonna lie, fuel isn't great! A full tank is 70ish quid and gives 200 miles, however I do town driving only. With motorway if I'm doing a distance this goes up to 300 miles. Having said that I only do about 50 miles a week, so a tank lasts a month and if I'm doing motorway it's at 97, so could be improved upon! Running costs - great! I've had no issues with the car at all and spent money mainly because I wanted to. Cambelt etc was more expensive than a 'standard' car, but thats been the only major expense. For what they cost, they're a very, very capable car.

Not quite! Players Pat! He has an account but isn't very active on forums.. I can't remember the username though!
-
Thats Pat's Rado.. as above, painted 'm3' rears.. it's the dechroming of the outers that makes them look factory - plus they'll have been done at a bodyshop, he defo won't have touched them
-
wow! knew it was too cheap! Looking forward to seeing what's a worthy replacement!
-
Thanks guys, it's an absolute pleasure to own. Old enough to keep me interested, new enough to cause me no issues! I miss Corrado ownership, although I do look over my shoulder when I park up, it's still not quite as exciting as looking back at a rado.. however, full time ownership will have to wait at least a few years for me now. [crypticanswer]There will be corrado related updates soon, but a daily isn't on the cards. [/crypticanswer] :smug: For now I'm planning on sorting all the little bits on this car and have another estate planned for afterward, but not in a hurry. Cheers Baz
