  1. yeah its mad really, i know i can see through these things, but as soon as i see a set of wheels or something i don''t like my instant reaction is negative.
  2. Hmm.. not quite sure about some of the arguments on here so far.. Ebay/Paypal fees are only charged to the seller. The fees are : £1.30 insertion fee, plus photographs. £75 final value fee [based on selling price over £75] and 4% Paypal fees. If the final selling price is £750 - £1000, total fees will be £106.30 - £116.30. Leaving the seller with £643.70 - £883.70. The buyer will pay nothing more than winning bid! On the point of Paypal protection, the seller will generally loose if the item is sold via ebay, the buyer will always loose if buying privately using 'paypal gift' [friends or family] By offering the item on Ebay, the seller in this case has given himself maximum exposure to buyers, but also maximum exposure to risk and will loose a good chunk of the price to boot! His item, His choice.
  3. that guy used to be a member on here - badboyhiggins? was banned for selling overpriced crap and giving abuse to anyone with a complaint from memory..

  6. That one's been on ebay too, £4ks a hell of a lot for a vr that isn't the spec you want. The right car will be out there, especially with a decent budget. Id suggest that isnt the one though!
  7. It will all depend on their insurers. My brothers mk2 was hit by a transport companies lorry and I dealt with everything for him as he's useless at that kind of stuff. Phoned the transport co, they put me through to their broker. Broker contacted insco, who sent out an assessor. I had got quotes for painting a new and second hand panel from two local garages. assessor didn't even talk abut write off even though values were close. Took cheapest option [£50 less] and asked if I wanted a cheque sent to the garage for the full amount, or a cash settlement at 20% less. Took the cash settlement at £680, bought a replacement wing from a breaker in the correct colour for £30 and fitted it myself  As their 100% liable, they'll just want to get rid of the claim as cheaply as possible. If you can get quotes from local painters using a second hand door included in the quote, you should be laughing.
  8. Have you got a local friendly garage that can get them cracked for you? Should only take 5 mins to get the car up/impact gun/car down.
  9. i cant see it having any value to anyone bud.. ask whoever put that value on to buy it!
  10. Ahh.. missed those, was getting confused! no idea what they are though, i reckon they'll be oem from something
  11. Personally, I dont respect AP coilovers and believe genuine 17" monzas only came in 5x112. If I were looking to buy, I'd want to replace both these things which is a lot of additional expense. The car itself looks great. If it were on standard wheels and suspension I feel you might get more interest. At the moment I'd write it off as being modded on the cheap.
  12. Looking awesome! especially the third pic, cracking polishing! images not showing properly for me though, so reposted them!
  13. didn't make it yesterday due to the 1-3 closure. Tempted to pop up today for a look round, still undecided so far
  14. Totally agree. Lane 1 at times can be horrendous. On an empty motorway, especially in rain, I may choose to drive in lane two. HOWEVER - I always look in my rear view mirror for approaching vehicles probably every 5 seconds, subconsciously. If there is someone coming anywhere near I'm over before I could be even the slightest inconvenience. Looking in mirrors and having an awareness of other road users is one of the biggest problems we face. I could tell you at any time what car/cars are behind me when driving. I can almost guarantee that wont be the same for 99% of middle laners.

    Why Recaro?

Redfox - awesome. I wanted to do the same years back with ultraviolets. Best of both worlds.
  16. nah. check the wheel fitment thread instead. they will fit if you're rolling your arches.
  17. Yes to this! proper pet hate. so frustrating. the middle lane thing doesnt really bother me. if motorways are clear, i'll drive in the inside lane and undertake. if they're busy, chances are i'm going quicker than the warriors, so will be in the outside lane anyway. of course, the reason for the motorway being busy could be middle lane congestion. in which case they should be burned to death, not fined.
  18. I'm looking after my nephew for the weekend, hoping i'll be popping through at some point on the Saturday, but that all depends on him!
  19. PM sent with more info..
