My missus read this thread, and the first thing she said was "thank feck we changed the interior on the VR6 within a few days of buying it!" (I bought the car from volksworld13 btw )
-
The conversation always seems to start with 'you don't see many of those any more mate!' - then 'Is it the V6?'

I recently went 2 years without owning/driving a Corrado and was surprised at how old/classic it felt when I first got in one, the green dash lights etc all seem so old now, compared to when I bought my first one when it was 5-6 years old, after a few miles though I was in my element, there's just something about them that grabs you and doesnt let go :D Whats very weird is that certain Corrados just seem to attract that attention that others dont. I lost count of the amount of people that commented and asked to buy my first rado, in the end I gave in and sold it to one of them! I've had quite a few since and none of them seem to have attracted the same amount of attention ( a good thing in my eyes tbh) but my latest one gets comments all the time! I can't believe how many people come up to me or my wife when we're out in it, if I'm honest it sorta pisses me off a bit :| The first time I washed it at the jetwash I had a fella come over to me and start asking me loads about it, then when he eventually left me to it another guy came straight over and started asking about it as well, In the end i'd wasted most of the jetwash time I'd paid for

Hi there, sounds like it might be the fuse? the fuse box is situated to the right of the steering wheel (in front of your right knee!) and on the back of the fuse box cover is a list of which fuse is which, that would be my first port of call :) EDIT - oops, beaten to it !^^ :)
-
And the first one does?

I'd agree with that, I've got an Aqua blue with beige seats and doorcards but i've kept everything else black, I think the contrast works well and the 'full' beige can be a bit overkill.

Oooh, about 6 years ago, was in a Corrado though not the van, and no time for stopping at laybys, I did Calais to the Alps in one day, 900 miles
-
Getting paintwork done instead of getting the car running properly? :cuckoo:  I'd go for a new rad personally mate, its leaking anyway and it could well be causing your high temps.

Oh, and back on topic - its got a full width bed in the back

Yeah they're nice and grunty, mines got an intercooler and its been remapped so its pretty bloody quick for a van! The exact opposite to the VR in that its all over by 4k revs but it certainly feels a lot quicker than the Corrado up until that point! Mines on 150k, I've done 18k hard miles in it in since I bought it 14 months ago and its not missed a beat, it flew through its MOT a couple months ago, only problem I've had is the gearbox starting to moan about the extra power/torque! The turbo seems fine, mine had a K&N induction kit fitted when i bought it but I took it straight off, the MAF's dont like them apparently. The interior and all the handles etc etc are mint, its more like a van thats done 50k than 150k tbh! They're renowned for being great workhorses but like Corrados, the difference between a goodun and a badun is night and day, you've gotta be careful what you buy, mine came from a school teacher so was smart when I bought it rather than an old builders van! I've just had a set of KW's fitted and they've made the world of difference, I got tired of how it drove as a van so have made it my misson to get it driving really nicely, so ARB and new wheels/tyres next to see if that makes any more difference, then a new interior etc etc etc  - the potential with them is huge compared to cars, there are so many possibilites depending on what you're into, like you say if ICE is your thing they're bloody perfect  As you can probably tell I love the thing, best vehicle I've ever owned by a country mile, don't think i'll ever sell it :luvlove:

MOT Statistics Released (ONLY 3000 CORRADOS LEFT IN UK!)
Walesy replied to LukeManic's topic in General Car Chat
Im always a bit sceptical of figures like these when they come out. I can remember one a while back that said there were only 745 (or something) Storms left on the roads  -
I can remember years ago some pics of a dogging session in a Corrado were doing the rounds on the net :)
-
There were no late interior/early exterior, only late exterior/early interiors in the crossover cars. In other words, if it has a late interior then it has a late front end (and its a 2.0 9A)

This is why everyone needs a campervan :D

Again cheers for the replies, Sometimes I forget just how lucky we are to have this forum tbh! :smug:

Advice on KW sport and OE suspension with std wheels/tyres
Walesy replied to James.'s topic in Drivetrain
Is the 40mm quoted about right for the actual drop? I didn't measure before/after I'm afraid, and bizarrely, apparently T4s left the factory with differing ride heights so I can't check it now against 'standard' - what I would say is that the van looks slightly lower than I would have liked, but having taken it on the dunes/over cattle grids&speed bumps/potholes/ditches/woodland tracks, it still doesn't bottom out anywhere and i've not hit the bumpstops yet - so it handles better, is a comfier drive, looks better yet can still do everything I want it to do as a camper/day van - hence I'm well chuffed with it, it cost a lot more than the other options but suspension really is one of those things that 'you get what you pay for' without a doubt.
