  1. And they arrived today, can't fault it other than the price for what they are! Cheers all!
  2. Yep, getting to 30 made a huge difference with my insurance, I couldn't believe just how much too! My VR6 is insured with Direct Line , parked on the road with no mileage limitations, wifes also covered fully comp - £245 - Whereas before I got to 30 it was up over £400
  3. 300 miles? I get 400 from mine and it costs around £75 (optimax) - then again yours isn't standard I suppose!
  4. cheers guys, just ordered a set :)
  5. Excellent, they're the guys that are selling them on ebay so I can assume they'll be genuine then. Cheers for that!
  6. Anyone know where I can get a set of BBS RX centre caps? I've seen some on Ebay but i'm reluctant to spend any money on there tbh.

    What Air Freshener?

The forum has hit a new low.
  8. Child seats fit in the back, but you'll need to have the front seat in front of it pushed quite far forward to give the nipper enough leg room, meaning whoevers sat in the front doesn't have 'much' room. I don't use mine regularly for my boy and certainly wouldn't want to tbh! its fine for now and then but if it's your only car you might find it a bit of a pain in the 4rse?
  9. I always fill mine with optimax and it takes about £75!
  10. Shame you didn't think to do the matrix while the dash was out anyway! :( All I'd say mate is to keep stopping for fuel as often as you can, I drove down to Southern Spain in my rado years ago and came close to running out of fuel in the middle of no-where a couple of times! It's best to top up even if you've still got half a tank left as you don't know where the next petrol station will be.
  11. Same here! How come you're going 9A from a KR mate?
  12. Absolutely, 8v's rock! Corrados aren't just about going fast, if they were, then I expect most of them would have been scrapped by now, lets face it even the VR6 isn't exactly a 'quick' car any more.
  13. :brickwall: You know what I meant! I'd say the Vr6 is quite lazy tbh, when compared to a chip/pulley'd G60 - they're completely different cars to drive, the G60 feels much more urgent.
  14. Anyone whos owned and lived with both will say the same, as an overall package valvers just aren't the car that the VR6 is, its as simple as that. The only one advantage they have is a bit less weight over the front end, that's clutching at straws though. G60's/Valvers do feel a bit more nimble for sure, but that's not going to put many people off a VR6 when there's a lot that can be done to sort handling out on these cars  I've had up over 40mph out of my VR6 too, I just didn't take a pic! 136bhp 4 pot vs 190bhp V6 - there's no contest
  15. Your location really doesn't help, I've recently booked my van in to have a bit of rust sorted and the fella wouldn't guarantee that it won't come back, he reckoned that when he used to work up in Bedfordshire he would happily guarantee his work but down here he just can't.
  16. Its a car, so it gets driven :) My wife uses it for work, not 'daily' as such as she works from home but she uses it to go to meetings etc, I try to take it out once a week for a spin just to remind me why we bother with a 15 year old VW! Having said that, the paintwork on mine is far from perfect and it was an all round cheap VR6 bought for daily use so I suppose that makes a difference. We're considering getting a low mileage minter so maybe I wouldn't be as care free with that? but I'm not sure that owning a drivers car like a Corrado and not using it regularly wouldn't sit right with me
  17. I'm sure our female members will love that comment
  18. As it happens I walked past an awesome Capri a couple of days ago, a black one and it looked mint! It also had a sticker in the rear window saying "The car you always promised yourself" which I thought was cool but didn't realise it was a slogan for them!
  19. Really? Its surprising to see a performance VW in Performance VW tbh
  20. Its true, its illegal for me to sleep in my campervan whilst over the limit if i have the keys in my possession :cuckoo:
  21. Bugger. Gutted for you mate, I've made this a global announcement to try and get more attention, fingers crossed you get it back in the same condition it was in before the scum decided to take it :(
  22. Fair play to them, they must have some confidence in their cars to offer a 7 year/100k mile warranty! I wonder if any other brands will follow suit as it certainly makes them a tempting option for a hassle free daily :ignore: :camp:
