  1. LOL..that would raise a smile if you turned up in a 16v wanting a charger rebuild!. Are you sure the figures are correct mate?..it's just that i seem to remember the boost test has to be taken at redline in 3rd and 4th gear?...not 3k revs?..

    where do i start

Hi mate. Where to start?...how long have you got? lol! Obviously it depends on the state of the car really, Whenever I buy a car I change the oil/air filters, leads, plugs, coolant flush (( using g12+ )) thermostat, temp senders and any hoses that look dodgy, also you could try cleaning the ISV etc if the leads and plugs don't sort out the rough running.......then I'd think about suspension parts (( i.e shocks, springs, bumpstops, top mounts, bushes etc )) What exactly is your problem with the electrics? oh.....and welcome to raddo ownership and the forum. :D
  3. Your old corrado goes really well by the way...  ...Which one??..what where and who???
  4. ..how disgusting and obserd.
  5. I remember finding a huge yellow toe-nail in the ashtray of a Carlton I had just bought to use as a taxi years ago....it makes me want to heave just typing it....
  6. LOL..they do look cool. Although when I bought my last g60 it was like a pig sty, dirty outside is cool, dirty inside certainly isn't. :pukeright:
  7. Yeah baby...be sure to take some pics Phil K,
  8. I think the early raddo's used the mk2 golf expansion tank didn't they?
  9. I wish I never sold old MOO
  10. the dirtiest mine ever got was driving to spain through the pyraneese in Feb.... EDIT-- frightening how bald i'm going at such a tender age :(
  11. Is your forum male or female?...CF seems to have a " time of the month " so i'm assuming it's female
  12. Why is everything arse about face?...I bet if you needed a part for the raddo they's only do it for golfs  ...sorry not to be of any help..
  13. Did you check whether the cambelt had jumped mate?...
  14. Am I right in saying that there was no valvers sold in Canada?..or is that just the States?
  15. LOL>.it's not a women thing...my wife would'nt know a ECU if it jumped out of THE SCUTTLE PANNEL (( top right hand side of the engine bay below the window on any standard raddo ive had )) and unchained her from the sink
  16. My mothers 04 Fusion is a bag of poo. She's done 9k in it from new and its had the clutch changed twice (( semi auto so not down to her lack of driving skills )) , it's had new rear suspension, and still knocks and rattles all over the place, it's got a serious engine management fault that they have no idea/ interest in how to fix. I've really been shocked and appauled at their build quality and aftersales service. Just my tuppence :D
  17. bloody hell! Well, all I want is £10 for mine, plus postage , so let me know if you want it.
  18. yeah it's in the plastic moulded jobby, I would say it may be easier to contact VAG and see how much a new one is ZippyVR6, it may work out to be cheaper to get one from then when you include postage etc, As far as I know ive got the jack, screwydriver, spanner, wheel nut spanner. I'd have to check for the removig thingies
  19. Hmmmm..not sure if i've got the pliers, ill have to check.
  20. It would help if there was some sort of pattern to the way these things were built  ..they're all bloody different!
  21. You most cetainly could ZippyVR6, although we'll have to wait for someone that knows what the hell they're on about to confirm whether the kit is the same, then I would have to confirm that I have all the pieces (( i think i have )) ....
  22. Sounds like you've got the right idea mate. With the way it is at the mo (( buyers market )) you could pick up a pretty good vr6 for £3.5k, or a very good g60 with change left over for anything you want to have done.
  23. It's cheaper yeah, but still not cheap if you want to run it properly, you can push a g60 to around the 200BHP mark fairly easily and cheaply, a must is that the charger is in a good condition, as long as that doesn't grenade itself the g60 is pretty cheap and easy really, 1.8 8v engine with a hairdryer attached for fun :D TBH, the 306 is a well built car, and they handle pretty well (( my mate had a fettled one a while back )) ...but you won't look back after having a drive in a decent raddo.
