  1. speak to your insurance....alot of companies will do you a good deal if you buy it through them. Ive had cover for the last couple of years and i dont know why i didnt bother before...it makes long journeys much more pleasant with the peace of mind.

    Clutch going???

just get brakedown cover mate....it gets rid of paranoia of being stuck in france. I drove to spain and back in my raddo...ended up getting towed home to Cardiff from Reims...about 600 miles in all.....it cost me about £60 extra on my brakedown premium to upgrade to european cover....and saved me about £160 in just fuel and tolls...let alone the recovery fee .....gotta be done mate.. p.s.....great thing to do in your 'c' tho...the typa thing they were made for!.
  3. fraid so...one week later and ive just had to pay for a new bumper. i just look at it as the closest im gonna get to a 3some.
  4. cheers..thatl be the bugga then.....i cant get it out... im gonna have to glue it to the window attached to the mirror me thinks.....with the aid of masking tape.... :D ...i was doing fine without one for the past couple of months but now my g/f is learning in it i have to sort it out
  5. every days a raddo day mate... :D grab a blue temp sender from GSF when you can tho mate.....you gotta change them first thing in the morning when the cars cold as fuke....it might save you from buying a set of leads.....just give me a buzz when you need the " garage services "..dont think ive got any plans for la weekend.
  6. i know he's on holiday...but can anyone else confirm that this forementioned metal bit is circular?...i think mine has been glued to the clips....cos i cant find a bit that will twist out..
  7. yep...and like i keep saying...ive got one sat in my garage for you dude.
  8. personally i think you'd probebly be better off with a valver (( having owned both )) ....its certainly going to be a step up from your 1.4 polo....and the running costs of a g60 mount up if you want to do everything properly...theres no point in going for half measures with regards to g60's , they're a temprimental beast in my experience and unless you're vastly better off than i was at 19 you might struggle?..especially if it will be your daily driver.....take your time and find a good clean 16v, im sure it'l manage to put a grin on your face for a long while..untill you're ready for vr6 goodness!> :D
  9. gotta love those silver feckers. nice one mate..the only problem with buying your first corrado is that its difficult to stop driving it!!! p.s..the PAS pump has whined on most of the vedubs ive had...it does'nt mean the pump is going to blow up tomorrow!...just keep an eye out for a decent 2nd hand one on the forum/ebay and have it ready (( assuming you've checked the level)). The heater controll is a common fault and can be fixed (( although its a bit fiddly )) ..or again, you could hang about for a new selector to appear.
  10. Have you tried the blue temp sender mate?
  11. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 5&lighter=  nice one Baz

Hi...welcome to the forum :D have you tried changing the black temp sensor aswell?>
  18. if you use paintless dent removal companies they would charge around £35 for that typa work. i paid £40 to have about 6 dinks knocked out on my 8v before i sold it.

    Temp Senders ???

that would be me asking you if you'd tried the search.....then reading the post properly...
  20. yeah i was just concentrating on having the charger serviced by your good self, but having heard loads of horror stories ((none from people having had their charger done at g-works i might add!!)) and seeing Eaton chargers going for a few hundred quid i thought it might be worthwhile seeing how easy the convertion is...i didnt realise it would be as much as 2.5k!! Theres 2 blokes locally who have BBM chargers, one on a 16v, and i cant stand the sound of them...im more than happy with the g-lader apart from the paranoia of it blowing up and costing me a fortune. ....
  21. Yeah...its the " making it fit " bit that worries me....especially as i'd have to pay for someone else to do it!!....shame theres not someone that's already done it on here to give a bit of 1st hand advice.
  22. cheers steve. If i stick with the G-lader theres no doubt that ill take it to G-works as its about the only company that i havent heard bad things about!!(( on the contery ive heard nothing but good things ))..i wont ask you who did yours originaly but its stories like yours that are makng me think that it might be worth having a different charger put in.
