LOL, £3.5k! I hope the bonnet was open in those pics! Its hard to say much from them as the cars in such shabby condition and the pics aren't clear but the front end looks a bit of a mess colour match wise and look at the panel gap at the bottom of the front quarter/drivers door  I'd be cautious if I was you mate, it could turn out to be a bobby dazzler but make sure you give it a good looking over! -
took a severence package from the local council(17 years service) in July was on Garden leave from May and passed my Hackney test 2 weeks before my official finishing date so easy 8 months now wish I did this sooner, although it means I have little time or inclination to drive the other motors in my wee fleet, easy done 30k+ miles since July Yeah I know exactly what you mean regarding the lack of inclination to drive other than in work - I used to let ANYONE drive my car rather than drive myself when I wasn't working and even now (after 3 years out of taxi-ing) I still much prefer to let my missus drive when we're in the car together. But having said that i've started to really miss the job, there's seldom that you can do for a living that's soooo flexable, the moneys good if you put the hours in and best of all you're your own boss in a 'business' that has relitavely low outgoings 8) - i've struggled to find such an easy a way to make a living since I jacked it in. (Sorry for the OT guys!)

I think they're really good, i've had RKE's courtesy MK4 GTi 1.8T quite a few times now and each time I have it I don't want to give it back  - allthough having said that it really was far nicer when they first had it and is now suffering a bit due to being abused as a courtesy car for a year. They're a breath of fresh air after the MK3's and feel to me as solidly built as the MK3 but with much better performance. The 150bhp 1.8t certainly feels alot quicker than a standard rado G60 let alone valver! :). Yes, admitedly they do feel a bit wollowy(sp) as standard but thats easily sorted Like I said though, i've not driven a Leon to compare.
-
I never knew you were a Taxi driver Mr vr6storm! Allthough I should have guessed seeing as you're so into arguing  :) Have you been doing it long?
-
I haven't driven a Leon mate so can't compare sorry! I have sat in one though and I could instantly feel a difference in quality.
-
I have inserted a poll  I'd go for a MK4 personaly - I think they're great cars and i'm considering a TDI MK4 as a replacement for my rado
-
Hi mate, welcome aboard. Most people go for a Mocal oil cooler and you can order the kits from Stealth

Need Help quickly...Its broken again! Coolant/radiator?

The VR6 has two fans mate, that might be what you're thinking of ... -
That would depend on which dealer you use I suspect, I used to have to pay for parts in advance back in Cardiff but that isn't the case here in Cornwall. Even so I wouldn't see that as a reason to buy sub-standard parts from GSF- just make sure you order the right thing!

i have assumed things are just getting old, the 1st one was the thermostat housing, they said it just fell apart as they took it off, 2nd one was the coolant hose to bulkhead which i think we disturbed when we were jacking engine up and down to get to the steering rack. the thing is with RAC is i don't like them trying to bodge a repair to get home, i'd rather it just get towed It could well be a co-incidence mate, but there could also be a problem in that theres a build up of pressure hence as soon as you sort one leak out another one starts elsewhere  -
Through years of using GSF parts to only have to replace them within a short period of time i'd say the same as Dinkle - Feck 'em. There's nothing more annoying than trying to find a fault by replacing parts and ruleing them out, only to find out after hours of labour and countless other replacement parts that weren't needed, that the first part you replaced was the one that caused the fault but the sh1tty GSF part you used as a replacement wasn't up to the job  I really see it as a a false economy. If you intend on keeping your car long term, use genuine VAG parts IMAYONAISE111!1

If it keeps springing leaks you might want to look into why mate  -
The best thing about RKE is that they have a new 16Vg60 courtesy car  Oh, and HAI :camp:
-
Im liking the dash, looks much more modern but not out of place. Good to see some progress anyway
-
I'm not into green at all but Khaki is awesome..
-
I can't say ive noticed any undercover cop cars down here in sunny Cornwall, allthough you see alot more police in general around the Run To The Sun weekend but they do make themselves known, as you can see in the pic they sometimes even park themselves next to a big sign
-
It looks ike Pearl grey to me mate, what year is the car?
-
Don't know if you've driven a Audi coup mate but they're a bit of a barge, allthough they do have that audi refinement :camp: And yeah, I live just outside Newquay
-
Indeed mate, so what you gonna get next then?
-
Haha, nice little raise there mate! 8)
