  1. get it VAG-COM checked will be a definate help......just so as to rule out any dodgy sensors............thats about all i can suggest off the top of my head
  2. dunno tbh.....but i bet an engineers report on it might help too........ :?
  3. have a look at this thread and see if any similarities strike you  http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10823
  4. thats really BAD luck euan mate......F***in scumbags  .....hope they catch the the lowlife :x but as you must realise yourself there be little hope.............anyway hope it works out not too expensive for you mate
  5. sorry the VR wins everytime for me.................G60's are nice and very very tuneable, but just give the VR some throttle and its aural pleasure of the highest degree 8) ........with decent enough performance too................i've only really driven 3 G60's(skid's,Dubster82's and Pau1's old one)and all have been subtly different states of tune and tbh......the one i like the most(to drive) is Skid's and that only has a Milltek with the standard pulley/chip/charger
  6. come to think of it.......i'm pretty sure ive seen a late VR with those on up here in aberdeen.....must say thay look terrible compared to the design of the standard speedline....i'll try and get pics
  7. i mean early mk3 Gti's
  8. sounds like early GTi alloys to me................anyway the C VR has come mostly with speedlines........tho the exeptions are Campaigns Storms
  9. coming along nicely grim 8) 8) 8) ..........nice contrasting interior too 8)
  10. sounds like you need a Porsche 968 Clubsport in your life
  11. must admit she does seem to have a couple of points that i'd like to see more of :-P
  12. must admit the magnex does indeed seem to fit and even look a wee bit better than my Milltek
  13. all worth your blood, sweat and tears i take it henny?
  14. i take it you mean the serpentine belt?????....if so a VW head tech told me these should get replaced at 60k miles or if showing signs of wear like cracking etc  and they cost approx £25-ish
  15. then again i suppose it all depends on how helpful a parts dept you have in your local stealer........the one i use (specialist cars VW-aberdeen)are very helpful and will do their best to get what you need
  16. must have different rules up here then. ............cos i know my local stealer hasn't got a problem selling the plug tool and also Joe M's one also had no problem either
  17. your friendly local VW stealer.............but make sure its the metal one you order too made by HAZET and should cost under £20 all-in
  18. you should try your local stealer first..........i managed to get one last year without any problems......and all for approx £2......tho only cos the parts guy didn't have a price for it so just said £2
  19. have a look here and that should help you identify it http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3126 ,as for price.......£7k IMHO isn't exactly bargain of the century.............although at the same time it isnt asking too much over the odds........but i wouldn't get too hooked up on the fact it is a storm......there are plenty better specc'd VR's out there that don't have the storm premium attached.....if you MUST have a storm then go for it.......but much as i love mine there are far better bargains out there
  20. sent away with this mornings collection btw
  21. perfectly correct young man!.............for once no 747's either :D :D .......would reckon tho at the end of the feature that the motors would have been given a quite comprehensive body wash so there should'nt be too much if any damage done
  22. yip with a lovely nugget yellow one as their main photo car too
  23. nice motor btw......tho if possible could you please use your existing members gallery thread to keep things nice an tidy  .......i'll lock this one up for the time being tho
  24. tbh if i were you i would try and repair your C without using the insurance company.........as by the looks of it...its "only" going to be an un-economic to repair type write-off......as for the £1750 price to repair......pretty sure you could get that down to easy just over £1k's worth by buying/using 2nd-hand parts as for price the insurance company will more than likely just pay out
  25. it makes it a helluva lot easier if you have the "special" tool for winding the calipers back........think its about £20 from halfords.........also if you are doing the rear discs you are as well replacing the rear bearings at the same time too
