  1. thats more than likely a throw back to the grey-import issues mitsibushi had a few years back when they were very reluctant to help owners of grey-import mitsu's
  2. please please tell me thats not a wolfsburg edition  badge on the rear of yer C :-P
  3. well if you've got the cash i can't see why they wouldn't..............its only the likes of BMW that need a bona-fide M3 or any other M-series chassis number to get the proper Motorsport parts.....well they did a few years back.............though i reckon merc might be the same if it was AMG -model specific bits.....but as its Karmann stuff probably more easier to obtain
  4. error pages????????.........thats all i'm getting
  5. ah well a happy ending  ...............and glad yer enjoying yer storm 8) ..............anyway i'll lock this thread up
  6. ........and i remember hearing that some owners who ticked the options for the ceramic brakes are finding that they are needing replaced due to wear(with low miles too)  after being used on track-days and porsche isn't classing it as a design/manufacturing fault
  7. chris CORRADO you're going to have fun with that much ground clearance................here's how struan aka BigeastsidescotcorradoG60unit got on to the rollers last year at Star-Performance
  8. best get someone to hook it up to VAG-COM as by the sounds of it you've got a duff sensor somewhere........if you don't know anyone near you with VAG-COM then you'll have to bite the bullet and get it in a garage so equipped or back to VW
  9. can't help you with the G60 Q......but you should find yer paint code in 2 places............1 on a sticker in the boot if its missing its 99.9% likely to have been rear-ended rather than a previous owner taking it off tho don't totally rule that one out........and the 2nd place to find yer paint code is on the inner OSF wing hidden beside where the airbox is.....it should be a orangey-reddish kind of sticker with the paint name in German and i think the colour code too
  10. ahhhh never had you down as a burgandy pearl fan  ............nice bit of stuff sitting on it too
  11. you've no taste :-P :-P :-P :-P      ..................i think there's 2 "toffee" ones on that site IIRC but i must admit this one looks the better
  12. i'll lock this one up then
  13. had a wee google search with corrado as the search title and found this http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/s ... el=Corrado apologies if this has been mentioned before but i can't remember it :? :? ....anyway some nice C's on it......and i must admit i'm liking the "toffee" coloured ones a wee bit too much
  14. would be cheaper if you went for the 50mm spoiler instead of the 90mm bargain at £35+vat from GPC

    Wide Rado

fair enuff as darren says its your choice at the end of the day etc and yes alpina wheels look damn nice......on a BMW  but IMHO fitting them to something non-BMW just looks muddled as in doing it just for the sake of doing it to be different.....it don't make it right and i suppose i concede it don't make it wrong either  ........i can understand the fitting of Porsche wheels on Audi's or VW's as there is a "connection" between the 3 marques........anyway ddin't mean to offend you and as i've mentioned earlier its your choice.........btw i take it you'll be using the proper alpina wheels as opposed to the BK-racing ones?........just heard a few years back that the BK ones aren't as strong or as good quality as the genuine ones
  18. Yup... exactly... Let's take a little look at what happened to the rest of the Competition... ;) Ford Probe - Still born, almost nobody liked 'em except for some Americans who designed it... :? Fiat Coupe - most of 'em rusted away Alfa Coupe - still look OK, but damn, they're expensive to keep running Vauxhaull Calibra - Cavalier in disguise and they've all seemed to disappear BMW 3 series Coupe - Probably the closest rival to the Corrado, but really has an image problem due to the BMW badge! ;) I seriously reckon that out of the lot of 'em, the Corrado's probably the cheapest to keep going and was easily the best at the time and still is now... 8) tbh the probe was on a hiding to nothing trying to take up the gap left by the crapi out of them i must admit i love the Alfa's styling and interior 8) and would imagine the 3.0 V6 to be a wee bit quicker than the VR on the road etc but the thing that has also dated the Probe,E-36 coupe,Calibra and i suppose now the Alfa is the fact they have been replaced with newer designs(cougar,E-46,Astra coupe and new GTV)........which brings me on to WHY i DON'T want there to be a Mk2 C
  19. well tbh VW don't actually specify a Timing chain change so in a way its not really a service related item as such.....also the timing belt change on the Fiat coupe is meant to be an engine out job to do......tho some people(Fiat specialists) have managed to do it with the engine in-situ but at the end of the day if your looking at a Fiat coupe with 60k miles your about a years mileage away from a big bill regardless
  20. tempting fate here btw but i can't see how the sunroof can be classed as poor design.......mine has worked without problem in 3 years of my ownership........just by taking 5 mins to give it a good greasing etc as for changing the badge to FIAT how does 10+hours for a timing belt change sound  ............. Corrado parts are dear compared to most other VW's but this is normally only trim and body parts-due to production runs
  21. Just for a moment there I had visions that you were turning your C into the "clubman" model.. :D "into".. not "onto" ... :)[/quote:6d69a] don't you mean traveller?? ......clubman's were normally associated with Mini 1275GT's whereas the traveller was the Minor Estate with all the lovely wood on the rear
  22. I second that. I know sometimes marital pressure is sometimes overwhelming but I can't believe you got rid of the UR i know tell me about it        ...........almost 8 years since i sold it and i still miss it.........
