well i must be an exception here........i've actually looked at 3 different ones(1999-2001 all N-plates 2 manuals and 1 auto ranging from £7k-£13.5K!!!!!!!) when i was looking to buy a C as that was all that seemed to crop up for sale in the aberdeen area when i was looking ..............thankfully i never pursued them any further

£9k is a bit steep these days tbh.........although if it comes with 1 years VW warranty i take it.....its from a VW dealer or has it had an extended warranty?........the thing that strikes me strange tho is if its had lots of care and attention lavished on it to warrant being £9k why has it got the wrong Sound absorber(engine cover  )???? sorry if this is sounding a bit patronising etc.....but there's a lot of dodgy dealer-types out there who'll pounce on the unwary
-
sounds to be your (blue)coolant temp sensor............its i think either called G38 or G62   (sorry forgot which)and is all of under £10 and 10 mins labour to replace......if you can get your C hooked up to VAG-COM and have the faults checked
-
i take it you've also checked that it is a genuine storm too?.......if not have a look at this wee guide http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3126

Cat Heat shield (Lower) VR6 - missing - is it necessary?
vr6storm replied to Nick_Micouris's topic in Suppliers Forum
mine has been off since December last year with no-ill effect  .....got fed up with it needing welded every year  -
one thing i would strongly advise is to get the geometry done a week or 2 after fitting your suspension to give it time to "bed-in"......and probably the best place to go for that....although its a bit of a drive is Star-Performance in Glenrothes..........as apart from having the same equipment as Speccy cars.....they are also a helluva lot cheaper even factoring in the fuel cost down to Glenrothes...............TBH i wouldn't trust anyone up here to do it...other than Speccy-cars but IIRC they charge over £100+vat for it whereas Star-Performance are only £40+vat

Your Insurance Cost For Your Corrado
vr6storm replied to belfastfumanchu's topic in General Car Chat
well if you have a decent Credit-card(with a low interest rate that is) you could always put the insurance on that and MAKE sure that you pay what it would work out to per month "if" you had the cash handy -
IIRC Skid got new wheel nuts with his BBS RX's when he bought them from Halfords up here
