why oh why! just think if he can afford to WASTE £16k on that PoS then he could have managed to get a decent Corrado and insure it and even mod it(tastefully of course) and had STYLE by the bucketloads  8)
-
......oops better post up about swfblade's C then  anyway...........nice looking C you have there m8 8)
-
i came out of a very nice 318ti into my VR6 and HAVE NEVER once regretted it......even tho i also found the 318ti quite an enjoyable motor to drive.........though having said that even tho there is quite a price differential between the A3 T and the S3 i would rather save a bit extra and go for the S3 for its slightly more beefier look and the fact its more than decent enough performance standard
-
yip Tom Ingram had that in his charger-equipped VR a few years back.......looked well classy 8)
-
its a VW......why on earth put on a BMW-tuner's wheels???????.......
-
if you want exclusivity then get a 2.0 8v auto  the reason why you see more VR6's than G60's is mainly because the G60 was really only for sale from late 91 to late 92...early 93 at a push...........ok it was available from near enough launch but as you know only LHD so it wasn't exactly a huge seller....whereas the VR was on sale from mid 92 til late 95-early 96 so almost 3 times as long in RHD format
-
or it could be the hydraulic clutch leaking too(at the pedal)...........well my 944 turbo's one went and totally soaked the driver-side footwell in hydraulic fluid
-
Probably, remember the Allegro was british built Shhhh Roddy might hear. too late i've heard you all dissing the allegro
-
Me three! :) Me four!!!!
-
early-mid 1992 is when the 2.0 16v superceded the 1.8 16v.......in fact Autocar roadtested the 2.0 16v C in may 92 IIRC
-
Pm ess_three from this forum as he is pretty knowledgable when it comes to S3's.........give him a few days to get back to you tho......as he's on his way off-shore today
-
found some pics i took of my previous motor just before i traded it in........anyway it was a 1995 M-plate BMW 318ti(Sport-pack) 1.8 16v-140bhp with the following BMW sport seats in anthracite cloth M-tech Suspension M-tech side rubbing strips M-tech M3 style lights BMW-BBS 17inch split-rims 8) Black BMW "kidney" grille thought i would miss it when i traded it in for the storm but the drive back from edinburgh made sure i've never once regretted it 8) ......even so it was still a nice car to drive(even with the older E-30 type rear suspension) anyway bought this when i went to look at a 8-valve C at my local stealers and kept it for just over 2years and 26k miles

normally only working on speed 4 is a sure sign of a blown thermal fuse have a look at this very excellent guide to fix it  http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm
-
ok i'll lock it up for now
-
iIIRC there is a slight variation with the 8valver..............but can't remember for the life of me what it was
-
if you're meaning the 16valve Golf engine found in the mk3 :?: its a different engine from the 2.0 16v found in the 2.0 16v C
-
imagine typing that into a sat nav
-
Hehe - All that way for a 6 pack of IRN-BRU... you Scots, I dunno  na mate.....its cos i heard their fuel price was £0.00000000000000000001p less than my local filling station was
-
Come on Roddy, we know theres not really any supermarkets in Scotland  LOL funnily enough the supermarket i filled up at was in Leicester!
-
i think ive only ONCE in nearly 3 years of C ownership filled up/used supermarket fuel.........too many scare stories put me off......and also the fact the Shell filling station is under a mile away from me......whereas the nearest supermarket fuel is 2-3miles away so any saving would more than likely be minimal due to the extra miles to fill up
-
or (much as it pains me to say this)....ENGINE TRANSPLANT time........20VT or TDi
-
around town its not quite as refined as the original dampers(obviously)......but show it some country roads and M-way action and its damn better IMHO.............just briefly had a drive in dubster82's FK-equipped G60 last year and they're decent enough i prefer the Koni's tbh as iv'e also driven Skid's Koni-equipped G60 a few times and that feels better, again IMO  ........i'm sure you'll be well impressed with them and see how much a steal you've got
-
i wouldn't pay too much over £1k for it......maybe £1.5k at a push only after having a proper gander at it
-
yip well £699 from TSR......tho i thought i'd done well getting them for £650 at INTERS last year (from TSR  )....so £550 IMO is damn decent!
-
......and i forgot to mention to my old Ur-quattro had the battery under the rear passenger seat!
