the confines of the engine make it near enough if not impossible to get the leads off/on without "snatching" the leads and risk damaging them.......as standard all VR's came with a plastic removal tool on the bonnet stay but this has about as much use a chocolate fireguard

look for zerocool in the suppliers/group-buy forum

How many forum members plan on NEVER selling their Corrado?
vr6storm replied to godskitchen's topic in General Car Chat
had mine 5+ years now...........did think of selling up earlier on this year when a few little niggles(rev counter stopped working, pass door latch siezed) started to irritate..........but spent a small fortune at Inters buying bits for it not to mention a nice set of 2nd-hand RX2's.......and ive fallen in love with it again....at the mo ive got my 993 Sorn'd(needing tax and a new clutch) and am driving my Storm a bit more...........hoping to get either the seats re-trimmed or a decent set of beige recaro's in the future but in answer to the thread title..................she's a keeper!!! -
I don't think he'll be doing either Nigel  IIRC he bought the LHD for the pure fact he wanted a 911 the way it was meant to be built.........not as most other ppl do for the big saving as for the koenigsegg dash...........why would you spoil the ergonomic nightmare that is the classic 911 dash
-
wait for it................LOCKED!
-
it could do......and it might not..........but its a relatively cheap and easy thing to try first.......best to get it scanned on VAG-COM as well in case a sensor is fluffed
-
its probably one of his only correct facts
-
oh and if memory serves me right............don't worry if the front slam panel isn't body colour..........thats how it comes from the factory when they were new........if it is body coloured then its either been replaced or just painted to match the rest
-
Shell 95Ron is the same price btw
-
if its a 1992 VR and it still got its original engine it should be distributor rather than coil-pack equiped its possibly needing a new dizzy cap and plugs..........best to use NGK for the plugs btw oh and the VR idles at a fairly low-ish 650rpm(so looks only 500 on the counter)

take it ya mean the 1.9 15inch rims as opposed to the 1.6's 14inch affairs
-
just filled up with V-power for £0.94.9 per litre
-
Turtle wax...........not bad and halfrauds have a turtle wax buy 3 pay for 2 deal on

-

-
well technically Porsche did design it for them.............til VW got cold feet......one things for sure it certainly helped Porsche on the road to profitability that lasted til the late 80's
-
US Gallon's and UK Gallon's are different amounts in volume too tho...........but we are paying approx £0.90-£0.99 per litre and we have 4.54Litres in our Gallon's
-
surely it won't be making the same power as a 2.9 with the mods listed as its a slightly smaller 2.8 VR lump too
-
latestarter on here is probably able to help you with Q's about 205GTI's.......he's got a 205 GTI (1.6 tho) afterall a very iconic hot hatch 8)
-
looking mean n menacing with those wheels Tim
-
as for your dilema........the G60 we were breaking sounded like the one you have for sale..........no record of charger been done etc but still drove sweet enough...........IMO you can really only ask top money for an engine conversion if there is decent history to back it up.......
-
its in damn rude health.............and changed quite a bit too also now sporting blue colour concept leather yes it is one and the same............he put his p/p on last month
-
tbh.........best set yer sights a bit lower............me and the guy who bought your silver Golf VR broke a 91J plate G60 recently..........we sold the engine/g-box/charger/alternator/ECU/loom for less than £600 for the complete package.........purely cos we didn't want mucked about...........we had no biters tho when we advertised it at £750 so very doubtful you'll get £1k for it..........sell the car complete for £1200 and i'm sure it'll go

Buying advice - puff of white exhaust smoke on down shift?!
vr6storm replied to rosswalker's topic in Engine Bay
budget approx £1k-£1.5k and you'll easily get the chains done too..........its all dependant on how much your labour charge is..........and also if its more serious than a HG or stems -

ahhh but even leather has the Karmann badge on the gear surround so in effect all interiors are Karmann interiored(even the recaro ones)
