Kongo LD7Y is Quartz metallic btw...............and Graphite grey is a Porsche colour that Breford's Corrado was.......Ive also got a 924S in Graphite grey.........and it looks mostly black with a brown tinge to it in certain lights........the pic you have there looks to be Storm grey too
-
ive got an HID kit in my 993........they look as bright as most if not all factory fitted xenons ive seen/used(range rovers mainly)........so i'd reckon that you don't really need to have the projector type lights..........btw I went for the 6000k versions
-
you sure you have checked the fuses???..........there is one cunningly hidden just above the fuse box for the E/W's and C/L..........its not on the actual fusebox as such just clipped to the top part of it
-
could be yer window control box..........resides behind the rear qtr door card(driver side)
-
Oh my GOD. So rare that 100% of Corrado's that left the factory had them!! ARGH!! my Storm didn't
-
I always thought with classic car policies that you also have to be a policyholder on a car insured on an everyday policy........thats what all the classic car insurers Ive got quotes from have always stipulated
-
unless the coolant has been changed in the past 2 years then chances are its not going to have G12+ in it..........G11 and G12 do not mix as they congeal and block passageways..........however G12+ can be mixed with either.......but best thing to do is empty the existing stuff out, flush and then refill with G12+

carb???????? on a 16v????..................I take it you mean throttle body
-
IIRC the fuel filter is only meant to be changed every 20k miles............so unless you specify to a garage you want it changed its more than likely going to be overlooked
-
tis the joys of the aircooled 911.........mine does the same everytime i wash it

After Neil posting his Free* Glass-specific microfibre cloth ad on the Forum a week or 2 back...........and me being the only "jock" who noticed it and replied within seconds ..........well anyway part of the Free* deal was that I should give it a wee write-up anyway here goes the Microfibre cloth arrived within a couple of days from me "ordering" it,it also was in a handy re-sealable plastic pouch.....a nice touch as it means once finished you can put it back in and not lose or get it dirty again after washing it I used it initially on one side of my car's glass(as in driver.side) with some household glass cleaner..........I also at the same time used my normal yellow duster affair on the pass.side so that I could compare how they both felt to use and how easy they cleaned the glass.........I must admit I didn't think there would be much of a difference but was pleasently surprised to find that the microfibre really "bit" into the glass and made the whole affair effortless and of course didn't leave any fibres when used, while the usual yellow duster I use felt like it dragged across the glass in comparison and of course always seems to leave some fibres behind.so in other words the microfibre cloth is a lot more easier and less hassle to use and once washed still looks like new...whereas the yellow dusters although a lot cheaper don't seem to wash as easily and are harder to work with *terms and conditions apply

you should also get the power grooves in 288mm flavour too.............as for pads as long as they are for the 280 or 288 respectively you'll be alright.........just go for the best you can afford................btw IIRC if you go 288mm you need the matching calipers/carriers too
-
try Eurocarparts for the power grooves...............from memory they cost £30ea +vat
-
they are just likely to be standard spec brakes made by Brembo you can convert to 288mm mk3 VR6 discs btw(from 96> models) and still run 15's another alternative is Ate Power Grooves...........I'm on my second set now and can thoroughly recomend them.........cheaper than VAG discs too and made by an O/EM supplier
-
all I can say is................you lucky lucky barsteward
-
the fact its on its 4th box not a worrying sign???
-
elimentary my dear ']['H3R4POR :lcop: funny how he's stopped posting in this thread now to "explain" himself for so vehemently denying it was his own work
-
ALL UK-market cars from 1985 IIRC have to have the side repeaters fitted.....these are the ones in the wings not the ones like US-spec in the actual bumper...........as for RoW markets I suppose it depends on their relevant "construction and use" regs
-
still get it checked to be on the safe side but by the sounds of it.........its ok..........although i'm speaking more from VR6 experience of worry about water temps........as long as you're not loosing water(other than thru a loose cap) then its not too much of a worry
-
nice one!!! like i said before driven mine with kaput ABS in the wet and its scary stuff
-
you measuring oil temp on the mfa or water temp on the guages??? if its the latter tbh the guages aren't the most accurate of readings......so seeing 90 @ 60mph and 110 round town although worrying isn't actually too bad......still get it checked out tho mfa stuck at 99.9mpg normally means its knackered....... if you've no heat from the heaters sounds like the matrix has been by-passed,so more than likely new matrix needed..........there's sometimes a Lynsey Porter manual on ebay that covers the Corrado as well as Golf mk2/Jetta/Vento
-
am I the only one here who thinks putting a ferrari-esque open gear gate in a C or any other car apart from a Ferrari is naff........ :?
-
dunno what sort of mpg you'll get but you'll either have a 12gal or 15gal tank............tho 99.9% sure you'll have the 12 gal one...........it should be marked on the guage btw
-
its probably easier for you to take a pic of what you have or haven't got mate
-
the brake/clutch fluid reservoir should be at the left hand side of the engine compartment btw you can get the ABS re-fitted tho I'd imagine you might as well buy a new one........how many miles has it done since its MOT??........cos if the MOT place did their job properly it shouldn't have left there with a pass if the ABS didn't self-test and extinguish the ABS light on start-up
