funnily enough there is an older guy(ex-pat) with a white early VR6.............arranged to meet him last year when I was there.........I was in Los Christianos btw

legally you are fecked........provided your MOT place knows that it should have ABS as standard...........tho I imagine its been thru a MOT without the ABS.....even if the light didn't illuminate the tester surely must have seen the ABS script on the switch......btw its the coolant expansion tank ABS doesn't have an expansion tank how long ago did you buy it btw???...........you might still have some redress with the seller.........especially if its from a trader

no worries Ive still to test it.........haven't been near my motors this past week tho....Local Holiday weekend just past so been pub-bound most of that :oops: .....planning on doing the "test" this week tho so i'll let you know how I get on

engine speed sensor always comes up when you check it on VAGCOM as you are checking it with the engine off...........the cam pos. sensor however is a different thing and thats the part that costs about £30..........what you do notice with that is........a loss of power sometimes as much as 30bhp..........

bollox youve got me worried now, is it ok to drive while its disconnected? I presume it still has the normal braking capability? ABS pump/controller etc under the bonnet as for driving............my ABS ECU and 1 sensor went last year...........so no ABS........to say its scary in the wet is a bit of an underestimate :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

probably cos they knew there was summat majorly(aka expensively) wrong with it,and it would fail a MOT if the light was on during start-up.......check under the bonnet to see if the rest of the ABS is still there too........and under the pass.side kick panel you should find your ABS ECU..........tho you just need to hook the VAGCOM up to the socket under the gearshift surround :wink:

yip ABS is standard on ALL VR6's..............if it doesn't have then its been disconnected

E-36 M3's are just soooo much metal for your money at the mo its unreal..............................5years from now,when most of the E-36 bucket's have gone they will no doubt achieve classic status(especially the non-EVO versions) I'd be inclined to sell the C and keep the M3............if it was me in that position,although I wouldn't sell mine to buy a M3 if you already have it i'd try and keep hold of it -

well they don't have a NHS to start with like we do.............much as we moan about it.........if you don't have medical insurance you're facked if you are injured/hospitalised etc

it'll still have the original factory immobilser.......the one inside beside the steering column/ign barrel........i reckon your Conlog has been binned and replaced with the Meta one now.......so that slot/socket is superflous now

its not factory fit as such but its was dealer/importer-fit when they were new IIRC.........should be an oblong fob with a rubber button in the centre and of course contacts at one end for fitting into the aforementioned slot

storms are overrated....just a VR6 with an extra badge (Q the moaning... :agrue: ) more like Q............the 2 campaign owners on here telling us the campaign is the ultimate Corrado to have :wink: .................which I'd agree it is too :D
