  1. the 4 prong socket is for the manual override for the conlog immobiliser...........useful if the battery on the fob goes
  2. .....................and its the Storm most of em want too :-P
  3. the mfa readout is oil temp and btw only goes up in even increments so 105 is unlikely.............the analogue one is water temp and is known ofr over reading a bit
  4. its possibly repeated on SKY2 at 11:05pm tonight tho now got a white mk2 GTI by the looks of it being chased  ......so white dubs = bad ppl
  5. 1Q.........thats the oil pressure warning buzzer.....could just be a faulty switch or worse case could be a knackered oil pump 2Q...........use the search on here.......it is somewhere
  6. even if the leather interior is recaro..........£7.5k is way too much.........I'd be happy with that for my 95N Storm just away to turn 77k miles but with a Schrick VGi and BBS RX2's.........I know i'll never get that tho..............if you get £6k for it I'd consider it a result
  7. if its a personal CHQ then he travels back another 4hours and picks up the car when his CHQ has cleared........get him to leave you a non-refundable deposit of say £100cash so that he knows you won't sell the car from under him,and you also know he's serious ok he's travelled 4hours......but surely you're not going to give him the car without the CHQ clearing
  8. make sure the CHQ's are cleared and genuine..............also watch out for dodgy bankers draft's........get your bank to confirm their authenticity and don't even think about taking Western Union anything!!!!! Cash is king!!!!(as long as its not fake)
  9. wouldn't of admitted to that last bit if it was mine
  10. now there is an idea  ...............
  11. in essence a good idea................spoiled by little Hitlers
  12. colour code it or get it painted black so that you lose the texture of it............silver would look naff IMO
  13. yip totally wrong interior for a GTI...........not even sports seats
  14. I think I'll be over £1000 soon, and thats before any van might come into it, or ins etc! yeah sorry wasn't trying to say that £300 is all you need............but for say one of us to get the equipment to DIY our own motors your looking at £300min
  15. I'm not a detailer or even a valeter but i just can't "get" the ppl who seem to think cos it costs close to or normally over £100 to detail a car that they are getting a bum deal.........to me 99% of the time there is a big difference between washing, polishing and waxing your own car and getting a "professional" valeter or detailer to do it for you.......for a start these guys have invested a bare minimum of £300 in the first place setting themselves up with a M/C polisher and associated bits n pieces.........and a lot of them can and do wonders to faded/swirled/damaged paint that your whole car can sometimes look like its fresh from the bodyshop or showroom...........to even expect someone to do all that for £5 an hour is frankly taking the p!ss........thats not even min wage FFS
  16. vr6paul has a S4 saloon for sale btw
  17. you can also get the Quantum branded ones from VW for around £60 a set..........I had them on mine for close enough 2yrs with no probs whatsoever............only changed mine due to a mate getting a good deal on 2 sets of some american hi-power leads.......can't remember their name tho
  18. those seats have been changed by the looks of it,it looks to have early 92/93 VR cloth..........when was it built/reg'd ??
  19. that was for the platinum ones btw............tho it was also approx 4yrs ago I've not got Iridium plugs courtesy of Kevhaywire........to save changing them every cpl of years 20k
  20. yeah........they had to order them........but only took a couple of days
