  1. http://www.justinbanks.com/9-Main.html ok ok ok.........not quite the same motor that Magnum PI drove but same make and colour at least  obviously £9k aint exactly peanuts......considering it'll probably swallow that up again with parts/paint/mechanical probs................but how many of you out there have always wanted to say......i OWN a Ferrari
  2. well if it was an E-30 M3.............you'd be well forgiven :notworthy:
  3. Agree with that one - it is the most corrosive resistant metal known to man. Can you guess what I do for a living (apart from trawling the CF all day)? IIRC they were put in about 66k miles(June last year) and i'm now siting at just over the 70k mile mark
  4. yes to the front but doubtful for the back
  5. its the other way about on the valver and G60 IIRC
  6. can't say ive noticed anything amiss with them.......car starts on the button/idles sweetly etc
  7. courtesy of mr haywire of course :D
  8. have a look here http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5638
  9. it also has this mentioned in big bold letters VW Golf / Corrado VR6 BBS Alloy Wheel Original 15" BBS Alloy Wheel for VR6 Golf / Corrado Taken From a 1992 VR6 Corrado time for a trip to specsavers mate
  10. they were on some press-photo cars

    Rear hubs

aye..........all mk3 GTI/GTI16v/VR6's from launch had the plus suspension..........perhaps it was a mk3 driver tarted up to look like a GTI that you've seen.....the only change from 1995(August) was the upgrade to 288mm brakes for the 96 M/Y
  14. how do i find out what ive got then???? :confused4: by the looks of it you've NOT got digifant.......so its either Simos or the mystery one  ...........phone up VW customer services or your $tealer and see if they can shed any further light

    Rear hubs

    cough........from 1991/92
  16. i remember someone on the yahoo e-group (mark baker i think) when they were coming to changing their clutch that there were 2 or 3 different versions of the Golf GTI engine for his year......although i would imagine its more to do with the different injection systems..........not 100% sure on this but IIRC the digifant version came first then it changed to the Simos system and then changed again but i'm not sure to what
  17. i had a funny clicking noise everytime i depressed my clutch pedal a few years back...........turned out to be the plastic trim above the pedal(lower dash) had warped just a little bit and was catching
  18. and indeed it does state that the 2.0 8v and 16v were k-jetronic  :D ......however the 2.0 16v was in fact K-Motronic and the 2.0 8v was whatever system the mk3 Golf GTI used(Simos and/or digifant)
  19. i don't think that matters too much as first thought.............mine idles nice and sweet and still runs when i disconnect it too
  20. .....and the High Performance Estate iirc was what HPE stood for  and the supercharged VX model dated from 84...........and who all thought VW were first to go back down the supercharger route eh :?:
  21. k-jetronic is mechanical  ............the 8v Golf GTI hasn't been k-jet since 88......thats when they went digi-fant and the mk3 8v is SIMOS and some other system that escapes me from just now
  22. think the 8valver he has........doesn't have k-jet
  23. might be worth reading up on the malicous damage part of your policy too
  24. looks a mish-mash of merc CLK racer Porker GT and very very little Corrado to me

    exhaust?

Star-Performance in Kirkcaldy might be a tad up north for you if you are from the central belt area of Scotland........but they are well worth going to for your Exhaust.........if i was looking for a new exhaust i'd be going for a Magnex as it looks a bit more subtler(and more like a factory fit type) than the Miltek i have on mine......not sure if they tailor for the 16v but IIRC the 16v and VR6 cat pipes are the same size  ........approx £350 fitted too
