  1. I have also noticed that my oil breather pipe is somewhat knackered and has basically collapsed. The inside of the boost pipes after the charger are a greasy but would not say that its dripping with oil. also i can feel the boost leak on my fingers when i rev the engine, its def coming from the plastic connection where the main outlet is connected to the the boost pipe. Those 4 bolts look like they are a pain to remove, the bottom 2 in particular look difficult to access. Is it poss to use gasket sealer or something similar to prevent the leak?
  2. Well i got my new motor today, looks like i have a slight boost leak where the induction pipe connects to the charger outlet. There is very slight oil residue on the charger bracket and what appears to be a bit of rubber sticking out from the connection. Looks like an easy fix to me as it appears like its the rubber gasket thats not sat right. Anybody know that this is a fact and that I am not taking arse as I am new to the G60 thing. Also is this a part thats available on its own as boost leak would suggest the car is not running at its stage 4 potential. :(
  3. I have had problems with the blue sensors from GSF - only lasted 6 months on the Golf and then started overfuelling. I would stick to original VW parts in this case.
  4. If it is running rich your spark plugs will be black, hope thats of some help.
  5. Nice motor, having had 3 Mk2's I can vouch that they are great cars. BBS splits or something like RC's look the best on Mk2's in my opinion.
  6. Lol, well i reckon it can't be that hard to do, will have a look into it when i get the car.
  7. I reckon black wheel centres with a polished rim would be the best option on your motor. Looks sweet by the way, black would have been my prefered colour had i not gone for my new one.
  8. Well i got some very cheap Lanzar Tweets and Mids for very cheap off ebay. These will be put in my C when i get it. Ebay could be your friend and Lanzar kit is very good stuff in my experience.
  9. I have been like that all week, in fact time seems to now be going backwards. Sat will never get here!!
  10. Thanks for the offer, I will have a think about what my plans are going to be.
  11. Perhaps I should have mentioned that they were orginally C seats.
  12. Nice how too, though i am a tad confused in that it says its a how to for the electric windows, but reads like its a how to for the electric mirrors. Am i just being stupid?
  13. Now thats service for you. cheers Steve.
  14. Probably no damage at all
  15. What wheels are they because the ones on the car have blanked centres. Cheers
  16. Cheers, am having probs with posting attachements so here are the links for bigger pics while i try and convert from bmp to jpeg.
  17. This is my new car, its a G60, been fully resprayed by the owner, who is a proffesional sprayer in its original Inca Blue, its on Eibach springs, Scorpion exhaust (thats actually quiet :shocked!: unlike the one on my Golf), those wheels :D , and a Jabba Stage 4 charger with SNS? Chip. Interior needs sorting but hope to use the VR6 seats from my Golf and find some door cards to match.
  18. I have been advised that actually it may not be as simple as extending the loom as the switch connectors are different alledgedly. Can someone confirm that this is the case. Cheers
  19. Cheers for the welcome, can't wait to get it next sat. PM sent by the way.
  20. Hi folks, i am new here. Today i put down a deposit on a G60 that was great exterior and engine wise, though the interior was a little shoddy. Basically I got some VR6 black seats in my Golf and was hoping to find some door cards that will match. Do they just swap over as i know that the electric window switches are in a different place. If they do and anyone knows of any going drop me a PM, ta
  21. Sounds like a plan to me, though the track day thing might have to be gotten out of the system first. At this moment i am thinking i will keep the Golf for a while and maybe look for a rado in spring/summer. Though this is likely to change at any moment as I was looking lustfully at Jims G60 in the for sale section. As for a Golf G60, i like Rallyes and also the standard body, however part of it is about the looks, i like the low coupe look for a change from the boxey Golfs. Interested to hear that the build quality is not as good as Mk2 Golfs, this does not bother me as the silver one is right sloppy shed, however my black one it now nice and tight after 183k. Here are some pics of my golfs.
  22. Yeah well i like Golfs and will be keeping my first one whatever, just fancy a change and the G60 appeals highly. Though the trackday thing is bugging me, i don't care about throwing the silver one around as its not that tidy. Though a Rado would be a different matter if i got a tidy one.
  23. Hi all, new to the forum but a regular on CGTI and other forums. I am looking at getting a Corrado G60 (I think) so thought i would come on here for you lot to convince me its the way forward. I have owned 5 Golf Gti's in the last 4 years (not all are still complete  ) I still have my first 1.8 Mk2 8v which has done me proud and now the Mrs drives it (allbeit on its 3rd engine) and i am driving around in the silver shed (1.9 C&R engine 8v, coilovers, rado interior  , and is just a little bit rusty. Thing is i want to trackday this year which would be a good exscuse to keep the Golf as it will be perfect for it, however the Corrado idea appeals.
