  1. There will be some pics when the supplier pulls his finger out and sends mine from Germany. He has had a couple of problems with availability. When i get mine i shall determine if the quality is up to it (Bloody hope it is after all this effort!) Its will fit direct to the standard boost pipes.
  2. None of the above, sell the wheels to me is my option!!
  3. Its an old chip, thats why i need the 3.5 bar version. I think that the above would be perhaps overkill unless i was running mega spec with red top injectors. Just at that price it seemed like a poss good buy for future lunacy.
  4. Well that stupid black box has quite a large cubic capacity, the RSR hasn't so logic would suggest that boost pressure should be more instant with an RSR than without one. If you want one keep an eye out for a poss group buy i am planning.

    FPR for G60

This be it Any good? Is it worth getting one of these over the usual 3.5 bar jobby?
  6. Well i could do with some more torque thats for sure. Will have a look into getting the spare one flowed. Talking about flowing, i may just use the knackered throttle body to practise a bit of flowing. Have you got before and after pics for your flusted?
  7. What benefits can be had from doing the manifold, again some kind of figures would be good. Cheers
  8. Surely if you go for Coilovers you could raise it using the adjustment for your technical control check. Then drop it back down low again afterwards?
  9. Hmm may keep my spare sunroof off the broken car just in case.
  10. Well now i got two throttle bodies to fix my broken one, is it worth getting the spare one flowed. Does the expenditure result in a good gain in power or torque? What else makes it worth doing? Should i get the inlet manifold flowed to match?
  11. You will be fine until you boot it, and you will because you won't be able to help it.
  12. 16v's had a factory top speed of 130 odd, so yeah its feasible, just remember the speedo is likely to be 10% out at that speed.
  13. I fixed my wires with super glue as a temp fix, however, to do it prop drop a bit of solder into the connection and push the wire back in with cleaned up bare end. Hey presto, fixed. By the way, black wire is the inner free slot and the purple is the outer.
  14. Sounds to me like the boost sensing pipe has either come off the back of the throttle body or the ECU. Just check its still connected otherwise your ECU will be thinking there is no boost.
  15. Are they a straight swap on a G60 engine?
  16. Right well a 85cm boost sensing pipe could not have helped, so put the 96cm one on for the time being but think it will be prudent to get a new one. Right, well its getting there, its feeling better and quicker. Still needs tweaking, need to check all the sensors now i think and swap the charger.
  17. Ah, i too will be putting another throttle body on, that could be the problem i guess.
  18. All engines can use oil if the the valve guides are worn, or worse the piston rings going.
  19. There are no visable leaks coming from the engine?
  20. Well it was a right pig when i left the pipe off completely by accident. Thankfully the messing is not to bad as both the ECU's i got are complete with the chips in, so does not take too long. I have not checked the length, though am not going to use the one off the other car as i measured that at 96cm and i know they are supposed to be 1m dead on. Though will check the one on this car as my next port of call.
  21. Right well its getting there, i think that i am still suffering from digilag along with the effect of the cam. At about 4.5k revs it takes off like no naturally aspirated 8v i have ever driven. The SNS chip i got was designed for a Rallye so would guess that its not quite right for my Rado. Got a Jabba chip coming soon (2nd hand, just to test, i do know about the fuelling issues with them) so will experiment with that.
  22. It is possible that you are not getting enough fuel into the engine, i take it its on standard injectors and fuel pressure regulator? If this is the case your engine management may not be fueling enough.
  23. I would have put my G60 at 1.2T at a guess. Should get that manual out really to check. C's certainly feel heavier than Mk2 Golfs, just the panels alone feel twice as heavy.
  24. what way round should the pipes be connected out of interest? Just to make sure. Nice one on getting the car running again.
  25. Well just added spec to my sig. I suppose i might be lacking a bit low down because of the cam. Also the charger will be coming off when my RSR arrives and replaced with my jabba sport stage 4 charger off the other car. I have changed the blue sensor, so its not that.
