  1. Noticed you did a cut & paste from my advert! I'll take that as a compliment!
  2. Provisionally agreed sale with Science for next weekend. Will close the thread once I have his money! :)
  3. Hi, Thanks for the thought. I don't want to split it up at the moment but in the event that it remains unsold then I will consider it again. First day of sale today you understand.
  4. FOR SALE - KONI COILOVER SUSPENSION FOR VR6 - £300 Set of four Koni Coilovers with original Koni adjuster keys. Approx eight years old but still in excellent working order with no leaks (as you would expect with Konis!). They look a bit odd as the previous owner painted them with a brush (god knows why) hence appearance in the photos. As fitted straight up and in current adjustment you'll get around an even 50mm drop (see photo) which gets you top quality ride with no rubbing but also a bloody long way from the tractor suspension standard VR6's suffer from. The ride really is the best you will get on Corrado coilovers, with excellent small bump absorbsion and wheel control for fast road or track use without being crushingly harsh. The suspension is built around high quality dual rate coilover springs with rebound adjustable dampers. The correct damper adjuster keys are also supplied. No collar spanners included (these spanners are generic items easily available) Ideally looking for buyer to collect (located in Bournemouth) but postage can be delivered at extra cost. Note these items are fairly large/heavy so postage won't be pennies. Price : £300, no offers. Cash on collection ideally or via paypal if postage option agreed. Let's have a deal! John Photos (a) items (b) As fitted to a car illustrating current ride height.
  5. FOR SALE - UNIQUE CORRADO LEATHER INTERIOR £450 This is not your standard Corrado leather. It's a bespoke fitted only to the handful of Nothelle VR6 Corrados which were sold in the UK, created by Scotts of London. Not only different in appearance to the standard VW leather, but also of a much higher quality and softer leather than VW stuff from that period. All seats, front and rear door cards and rear centre armrest all supplied. Photos below. The seats are not electric and do not have heating. Condition overall is good. The interior has been in storage for about 18 months so will need some feeding to bring up to top but otherwise not torn etc. As the interior is 20 years old the drivers seat is slightly more worn than the rest, and ideally requires a bolster fix on one side but is completely comfortable and still supportive. With a little tidying this is an excellent quality and non-standard addition to any Corrado. The interior is located in Bournemouth and buyer will need to collect. We haven't tried but I suspect it will just about fit inside the back of a Corrado with the rear seats dropped down. Price : £450, no offers (unless you want to offer more!). Payment in cash only at time of collection. Viewing can be arranged. If you wish to secure I will agree subject to discussion and payment of a deposit in advance via paypal. Let's have a deal! 6. I have one. In fact I have whole system if you want to go the whole hog, consisting of: 1) Raceland VR6 six-brank stainless manifold 2) Powerflow sports cat (more efficient, better flow, better ground clearance as it's smaller 3) Full Magnex cat-back system incl back box. The really aren't that noisy and anyone will tell you the (now no longer available) Magnex systems were better than the Milltek ones for fitment. And... I'm in Bournemouth so you can pick it all up locally depending on what you want. Prices: 1) Raceland 6-branch £100 2) Powerflow cat £150 3) Magnex cat-back system £175 Some photos below but you should probably come & have a look. 6-branch http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn75/corozin/2012%20Car%20Part/IMG_0095w.jpg"] Sports Cat Magnex box Drop me an email at [email protected] or PM Rams and we can discuss viewing Rgds John
  7. If your car is modified and you don't tell your insurer then your insurance is invalid and your car is uninsured. That's why they check it. It's the law. As for taking motoring advice from a Honda forum well you really should know better than that shouldn't you? Duh!
  8. Hey guys, Rams mentioned he'd placed a thread on here & that I should make an appearance. I've been gone a bit longer than some of you think in fact. The bottom end of the grey Nothelle Corrado expired (again) at the end of April last year. After 13 years, three Corrados and six years with what became the grey monster I had to finally admit defeat and give up keeping it going. The car came to me in early 2006 having been owned previously by a string of guys who would have been familiar to anyone who was around 10 years ago including Kieran J, Guy H and Glenn C. Glenn had started to develop the car into a track weapon but stopped when he realised his Ibiza Turbo would be quicker for less money. Over the space of just 5 years only those closest to me knew that in maintaining, repairing and modifying the car up what I ended up with incurred costs of around £25,000 excluding the fuel and insurance bills. I know this sounds insane for a car I only paid £3,500 for, but a particularly big chunk of that went on a 3.0 high compression engine which lasted just 14 months before expiring with no oil pressure on the way back from the 2009 CCGB Telford show. That was £7k in one go! I almost cried, but like so many Corrado nutters I took pity on it again and again and kept fixing it hoping for brighter times... no such luck as it turned out. Eventually even I had to admit it was ridiculous and after two head rebuilds, a race engine, a rebuilt bottom end, and another replacement engine I pretty much ran out of money along with the love. I will admit it sat on my drive for at least 3 months before I finally detached emotionally from the car. I - almost - fixed it again on two or three occasions but fortunately work commitments kept my attention off it. By the time Rams convinced me to scrap the car & pull the investment out of it a few weeks ago I hardly even noticed it parked outside every day. During the 13 years I owned these cars I've had some extraordinary times with many, many tremendous people. I did lots of shows all over the UK, trips to Le Mans & Scotland, and hammered around track days everywhere in it. It's a cliche but it's the people who made ownership special, and I'm lucky to still be in touch with a number of you (you forgave me for giving up!). I want to thank all of you for those times, which will always be remembered. Here are a few highlights: - The 2003 Woburn Show which I put together with help from Martin Hyland, and James & Deb Shillaw. We had 149 cars there that day - the largest ever Corrado gathering in the UK. - Driving away from the two turbocharged Corrados at Castle Combe trackday in 2009, despite giving away at least 150bhp to both of them. No apologies guys, my car was faster even without the power! - Losing my way to AmD in Bicester in 2001 whilst leading 13 other cars, into a cul-de-sac. Apologies for that still folks, I know the u-turn was a bit complicated with all of you stuck in the road! - Watching an Audi Sport Quattro spin off behind me at Quarry Corner (Castle Combe) one year trying to keep up with me. Expensive crash! - Travelling from Milton Keynes home to Bournemouth one night and managing it in just 1h22m. The distance is 135 miles - do the maths... - The look on everyone's faces when I arrived with the car repainted in grey at Stoner in 2009. Priceless :) - Nursing my car home 600 miles from Braemar in Scotland to Bournemouth with a failed front wheel bearing and no front brakes (I made it - just). In fact the whole Scotland tour of 2010 was a blast. And thanks to a few particular folks who made it extra special; Kip, James S, Wendy, Charlie, Andy, John (16vG60), Guy and 24vRenshaw. Right, now I've done all that - come and get the bits, LOL. I want your money, haha
  9. Andy665 & I will be there. Just a quick correction, this is a one day show on Sunday 11th March. If you go on the 12th you might find the place, well empty (see post title)
  10. Hmmm thinking about it but it won't be with a Corrado if I do.
  11. It's a bit of a shame there's no Porsches in this version. But the massive increase in other makes and the additional tracks was really welcome here. The car dynamics are a bit more tricky then FM3 but I'm ready for a bigger challenge in that regard! The R2 & R1 cars are a lot more tricky to drive it you switch the aids off. All in all, it's fantastic. Now back to the game :D :D :D
  12. The DVLA have been putting notices about the change in the law in all VED reminders for over a year so if you don't read what they send you who's fault is that? The only people with reason to get hissy about this are people who drive uninsured or fail to declare SORN - both of which have been legal requirements for years.
  13. I've got the same cover as Jim and would vouch 100% for what he says. It's about spot on for a Corrado.

    pathetic bits

I have a battery jacket for VR6 in decent nick. £12 posted. PM if interested.
  15. I will have a pair of front wings available fairly soon, late VR6. Both in grey (!) but good nick. I'd offer you the bonnet but it's not in the condition you're after. PM me if interested in the wings. £30 each + postage. Can you you photos if needed.
  16. I'm wondering if the OP should be allowed to build a track car after a question like that.
  17. I have a set of black Compomotive MO's available, 7½x17. And they're the "wide spoke" type, meaning lots of clearance for those monster Brembo brakes you want to fit :D Look like this they do. PM me if interested. John
  18. Possibly me. I have some 12:1 compression forged Wossner ones in a spare engine. I think they have 83mm rings on them, meaning capacity goes from 2861 to (I think) 2967cc. Obviously you'll need to have the bores of the ABV honed out to accept them I will have to pull them out of the engine (assuming they will come out!), but PM if you want to discuss as I have no use for them now. Will certainly cost you less than the £900-odd I paid for them.
  19. Is that the same "Willsy" who used to live in Andover? PM me if so. John (yes that John)
  20. Apologies for the delay, I've been away for a few days. To answer your first question yes everything is all still on the car but I won't get much of a chance to get you a photo until the weekend. The whole exhaust is aftermarket so no guarantees that the Lamda is an original one but will see what I've got. The "engine side" of the loom on this car is only around 2½ years old by the way (if your interested) as I had the whole thing replaced during a rebuild. Get back to you with a few pics soon.

    Vr6 - maf

Not sure what MAF you have but the part number on mine is 0280 213 021 which is the one for a '94 VR6

Seems to be just my bloody luck that there are two VR6s being broken in Bournemouth at the moment :(

    6branch

I think the postage on an item like this is going to be a chunk more than a fiver. Probably more like £15 with the weight/size and will settle at that even if it turns out to be more than that. The piece is still on the car right now and I've just started breaking it. Can see if I can get it removed quickly if you're trying to do this urgently, or happy to let you put dibs on it if you want to wait a few weeks. Let me know - will PM you my number & feel free to call me if you just want to chat options etc. I don't have any reason to think it won't fit an OE cat but on my car it's plumbed into a powerflow sports cat and then into a Magnex stainless system, both which will also have to come off in case you're interested!). One thing I would recommend with the 6 branch will be to be prepared to heat shield the hoses & thottle body area above where the manifold will go as the 6 branch does emit a lot of heat and it will cook all those wires and hoses and the back of the engine. I can pop the shielding I have into the package but you should look at this or to wrap the manifold if you can. Cheers John
  24. I have one (well two actually but you can have one of them) available with those part numbers. £40 posted. Let's have a deal!
