I get asked this all time and im afraid the answers no. The company i work for wont let us as people have taken the pee in the past. If you ever need any machine polishing doing i have my own rotary and full detailing kit so that wouldnt be a problem. -

If you phone GSF with the VW part number they can supply you one. Ive been told that the rack comes correct but with the wrong track rods. Vince at Stealth said they overcome this by gettting Lemforder track rods from Euro car parts. -

Yeah some colours do need blending. I did spray test cards to every shade variant of satin silver and chose the best match to the wings. -

Have a few more updates today. In the booth coloured up but awaiting lacquer. Front bumper finished. Bonnet finished. Back on the Speedlines while I clean the RX's up properly. Painted the rear badge gloss black so it stands out a bit more. Just need to fit it all back together and polish the newly painted panels. I will also be giving the car a full detail including wet sanding any panels to remove small imperfections. When all thats done our PDR guy owes me a favour so hes removing any minor dents. The MOT is due at the beginning of March and im hoping to get all the front suspension bushes, ball joints, drop links, engine/box mounts renewed when the car goes in for a new steering rack. -
I was told to use Goodridge from a Golf VR6 with the 288mm brakes.

It has FK Konigsport at the moment and the ride is very good. Im going to raise it a little when the works done as the fronts do catch under hard cornering. If your thinking of getting coilovers id recommend KW V1 or V2. I had a set on my old Golf and they were brilliant. -
Stealth racing do chains, tensioners, clutch and full head rebuild for about £1300. Thats what id go for if you bottom end is sound. The clicking could be your tappets.

Variable intake manifold. Same as a Schrick VSR. -
A proper VR rebuild will cost you around £3k at a VW specialist.

New car acquired! Still German but not VW...

Really liking that. The ride height looks spot on with the Speedlines. -

Bloody tease  -
Stealth always use MK2 Golf GTI 16v plugs which are miles cheaper than VR ones. As for oil ive only ever used the VW Synta silver in mine.

Very tidy. How much is your insurance? Im 28 and mines enough lol -
Id go with the vRS. A few of the guys at work have the diesel variant and they are wicked.
-
If they can be reprogrammed you can have the spare from my old system. I have a Clifford now.

I have been doing a few body repairs to the Corrado while its off the road so i thought id get a few pics up. I didnt decide to do the pictures at first so for some of it there are no befores. This was at Stealth about October time . Went in for a new radiator, Gruven crackpipe and rad neck, Samcos and new header tank. Front bumper off for paint. It was chipped and starting to peel. Front bumper stripped and flatted down ready for primer. Front bumper primed up in 2k Glasurit high build. OSR inner arch was starting to rust slightly so this was cleaned up. Awaiting paint at this stage. This is the same as above but NS. All repaired at this point. Didnt get any befores. There was slight rust around the locking section of the filler cap area. This is the afters pics. Didnt get any befores again. Behind the filler cap section. This was full of mud and dirt so was cleaned out. This is a definate rust trap so id advise cleaning yours out and taking a look. Bonnet had small chips and a crease on the NS so needed a repaint. After attacking it with a sander decided on Nitromors to remove all the paint as there was a lot on there.. Nitromors getting to work. Luckily there was no filler to be found and the crease was removed with a body file. Will be a lovely straight panel once painted. -
another smashed in corrado.......all fixed!!!!!!!

I hate to say it but thats a write off if it goes through insurance. I can see at least £1700 worth of parts alone and once youve added labour to that its game over. Shame as it looks really nice :( -
If its the same as the 1.8 KR Golf engine then id say that the breather pipe has collapsed. You can only get them from VAG and there something like £80. Quite a common problem with that engine.

Lol no thats not what i meant. The ceramic is extra durable and doesnt scratch as easy. In theory it shouldnt chip as easily too. I know your car wont be going near a car wash.
-
The lacquer sounds like what Mercedes are now using from the factory and its ceramic. Its designed for people who dont care about their cars and continuously put them through car washes etc.
