I have a set for mine tucked away unused.

My VR failed the MOT yesterday on one wishbone bush. The steering rack has also been leaking for a while so ive decided to go for a full front end overhaul. Stealth are getting me a rack and tie rods and i have the following bits: 1. Wishbones 2. Ball joints 3. ARB drop links 4. ARB bushes 5. Gearbox mount 6. VT rear engine mount 7. Subframe bolts 8. Wishbone bolts 9. Steering rack mount rubber U shaped thing The top mounts were changed when the coilovers were fitted. Can anyone think of anything ive missed or would recommend doing while its all being done? Cheers

You can get them new from VAG and they are about £175.
-
Much cheaper and i heard VR platinum plugs were a waste of time.

I always find it best if you have the engine cold. If you try washing it while its hot the steam gets in everywhere and then it wont start.

Nice work. You can get the front panel member new from VW. They all seem to rust badly. Its on my to do list. -
Im the same as Bill. I use mine April till October then its kept inside covered up at work over winter.
-
Id go for Collinite if your after durability. Its excellent stuff.
-
They probably thought it was clever to order MK2 shocks instead of Corrado specific.
-
How you can even compare a MK3 Golf to a Corrado is beyond me :?
-
Unreal. Wish mine was that good underneath.
-
I did see that. Those RH's look strangely familiar
-
Sounds like the tensioner wheel has seized causing the belt to ride over it until it snaps.
-
Get a Gruvenparts tensioner wheel and it will cure it. I have one on mine.

Are you going to Stanford hall this year? Would love to have a look round your car.
-
Ive just bought all the front suspesion components for my VR from AVS and can corfirm they are Febi.
-
Does this mean your Corrado will move out of the garage?
-
I use Gliptone on my Recaros. Its very good stuff imo.
-
I take it you mean put some washers on the bolt?
-
Looks very clean and tidy. Has it done many miles?
-
Has anyone ever changed these? My drivers door has dropped a bit so im guessing its the bottom one. How difficult is it?
-
Im sure someone on here had a quote for a headgasket change on a VR and VW quoted £2000. WTF, you could get chains, clutch and a full head rebuild at a specialist for about £1300.
-
Does anyone have one of these fitted and where did you get it?. Are they worth it?. Cant say im a fan of the standard shift.

Yeah did the whole car. Used the intensive on a 3M compounding pad and final finish on a Meguiars finishing pad. -

The paintwork and detailing is now complete. I have been finishing it for the last few days in between work. The car has been machine polished with Menzerna intensive and final finish polish. It was sealed with Blackfire wet diamond and waxed with Blackfire midnight sun ivory carnauba paste. The only job left is the removal of small dents by our pdr guy but that has to wait a few weeks until he is back. New paint on bonnet with good colour match to wings. Nearside with the sun bringing out the shine from the wax. Back inside. Gloss black badge.
