    Cheers Bill. I take it you go up through the wheel arch or is it accesable from the boot area somehow? The cars not to hand so i cant look right now.

    Ive noticed a tiny bit of rust starting around the fuel flap lock on my C. How do you drop the lock and filler neck out of the way? Can you get behind it all once all the parts are removed as i want to get it all ground up and painted before it spreads.

    Best previous dub - Helious Blue 89 Golf 16V Turbo. Worst dub owned - Mars Red 1983 MK1 Golf 16V. It was a rusty peice. I hate MK1s now after that experience! Classic my arse! Ancient relic is a more accurate description! Your old 16vT is for sale on Pistonheads at the moment just in case you didnt know.

    Ive had my VR since the end of March. Since then ive spent the following: 1. Service £465 2. BMC CDA £170 3. 17" BBS RX £1100 4. Complete cooling system overhaul £590 Obviously not one bill but quite an expenditure in a short space of time.

    Mines B8 NVW but its been spaced B8N VW. Only cost me £300 from the DVLA about four years ago.

    Its the same engine so it will fit. As for the ECU im not sure but your gonna need all the clocks etc to make it run unless you go for an aftermarket ECU.

    Get some Menzerna final finish PO106FA and that will get rid of the swirls. Farecla products put more swirls in than remove them in my experience.

    Cheers Alex. Ive been looking at the these http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/Alloy_Calipers/alloycal.htm Im interested in the AP calipers with 325mm discs although he did say he could do 330mm discs for the same price.
