Its amazing how many Golf enthusiasts turn to the corrado at some point-thats what has happend with my family-but mum still wants the new GTI as golfs are fantastic cars. Go for it mate, make sure you get a good one and you wont regret it! Cheers Fraser

Yeah its a great idea Simon-Id def be up for it. Would it be a lands end to John o' groats trip? Cheers Fraser

Id certainly have one-they have a carisma about them that the previous MKs lost for a while-damn good that there back to being the best! Cheers Fraser

Went and looked at the new GTI today-not for me but for my mum.Have to say well impressed. It really can shift, good grunt about it too.Very nice interior-its bassically a proper GTI back to the days of the MK1 & MK2. Starting price at just under 20K seemed high at first but after getting better aquianted with one it seems the money would be well spent. Anyone else had a go in one? or any thoughts? Cheers Fraser

After being a 1.8valver owner for 2 years i decided to go for a VR. Phoned quite a few and eventually Greegs' car popped up. Very well kept-testimant to previous owners! Anyway- everyone always mentions the huge grin and sense of satisfaction you get when u first drive the VR6- FCUK me they wernt lying! Had it few weeks now- it amazes me how dosile it can be around the town and how devistating it can be where the road opens up. I also noticed the handling is diff than the Valver,it seems very well planked- putting this down to the huge weight over the front wheels. I can tell this car is going to be sticking around for years to come-touch wood. Rant over Cheers Fraser

Ok, after months of hassel free driving it eventually caught up with me. Last week my car was reluctant to start-just replaced battery few weeks ago and it was turning over fine but wouldnt fire up.So as a quick fix my father changed three of the spark plugs. The ones he used were spare ones lying around-they were only two point instead of four.So the car fired up first time with these in, and was going really well-but once it had covered a few miles the engine cut out whilst driving and then fired back up straight away this happened a few times before it finally died, and was reluctant to start.Still turning over fine.So i left it for a few hours went back to it and it started first time-so i got it home.Next day put 4 new recomended plugs in.It then started up no problem going great untill id covered a few miles then it cut out and wouldnt start again-still turning over though. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Oh i also noticed the Earth wire that connects from the car to the bonnet has broke-could this have anything to do with it? Cheers Fraser

Remote start, is there a kit that does this?

The Range Rover has this as an option-u programee it to start itself in the morning so its nice and toasty for you.So surely theres insurance companies that dont have a prob with it. -
Im looking for some advice on replacing a crankshaft on a VR6-will i just need the crankshaft or do i need such things as seals etc? Does anyone have a rough idea what kind of price these items cost? Cheers Fraser

Is it a 2.0 or a 1.8-The flat spot u mentioned sounds similar to a problem i had a year ago on my 16v.Checked absolutly everything-turns out it was the middle box on the exhaust. The internals had corroded and become stuck in the pipe inbetween the middle box and the rear box.Because of this when i accelerated the felt as if it was holding back until the exhaust fumes forced there way through and the car took off like a bullit. So its mibby worth checking this out-only problem was there were no signs from the outside,ie the exhaust wasnt blowing. Cheers Fraser

Is it just me or is the drivers seat a different colour from the passenger seat? Mibby he should sell it in bits-prob get more for it. Cheers Fraser

I have to agree with most of the cars mentioned but i cant believe we are on the thrid page of this thread and no1 has mentioned Danilo's 16v G60 a trully awsome looking car. Cheers Fraser
-
Nice looking car youve attained there, bet your well chuffed that it has stayed in good condition for its age. Am i right in saying thats the model VW was initially wanting the C to compete with? Cheers Fraser

Thanks Furki-i needed a good laugh. I like the fact 80% of what they were saying was complete balls-keep them away from the corrados! If the guy didnt like the look of the VR he bought-then why spend almost £7k buying one! Cheers Fraser

Theres another post for this too-the hardest bit was trying to maneuvour the motor out without damaging the workings of the rear wiper.Great mod todo though, cleans the back end up loads. Cheers Fraser
