Saw a red H reg in Oakley yesterday about 5pm ish. You waved, I waved back. (Think I've seen this one before on the A6, someone from the Bedford area?)
-
Saw a green Storm yesterday in Bedford N*** EGS ?? Anyone? We were behind you in the burgundy VR.
-
Yeah, I second that, although I don't know what a VR sounds like without induction kit, but I know that mine's got one and it sounds great!!
-
Don't know about the best sounding car ever, but the best sounding car I've ever owned is definately the VR, I just love that sound when you put your foot down 8)
-
I have no idea of prices of storms but welcome to the forum anyway :D

Can you move the handle but the glass doesn't move? This happened on a car I had and the glass had fallen out of the little arm thing that held the glass, take the door card off and have a look, you might be able to just pop it back in.
-
I need to get another car because the VR is not very sensible for my new job. However, the VR insurance has to stay in my name because its a lot cheaper than in my other half's name. So, this means I will have no ncb on my second policy, do insurers take into account that you have ncb but they are on another car??
-
I think that only applies to third brake lights, you don't have to have one but if you do it has to work.
-
2cc - I have changed my name for now, still thinking about it though....... Mr Beige - I think there is a place near me that can remove the need for a key, haven't decided yet, might get a new head unit anyway cos the tape player's jammed
-
That is shocking, I cannot believe there are people out there that do that kind of thing!! Hope no one does it to my newly sprayed VR :?
-
It's already had the front end respray and passenger side and sunroof too. She looks almost perfect now, just waiting for a nice sunny day to take some photos!!

Hmm, sold as seen so probably not going to get anywhere with that one. It did work when we bought it anyway, just stopped working when we disconnected battery!!
-
hmmm, that's what I thought. Obviously the previous owner did not keep his key safe!!
-
That's where the cd changer is. I'm going to have a good look everywhere, then ring kenwood tomorrow, failing that I'll have to get a new head unit. robbo101 thanks for the offer mate but I'd be surprised if your keyfob would work on mine.
-
Picked her up last night, she's now sitting on the drive 8) Photos to follow...... OMG, she's very fast, I was doing 80 to over take someone on the M6, next thing I know I'm doing 100  Oh, and she's Dark Burgundy, I checked the paint codes.
-
Yeah checked glovebox and ashtray etc when we were looking for wheel nut key so unless it's somewhere really ridiculous it's not in the car!!
-
Chris Knott were the cheapest for me on the valver but then again I didn't try Brentacre, will definately be ringing them when renewal time comes round
-
yep, you guessed right! Am going to speak to kenwood tomorrow to see if there's anything they can do about it.
-
krc 791. In an article I found it said you needed a keyfob to reset it otherwise it's unuseable :(
-
I spent my saturday night driving home our new vr 8)
-
Its not a fuse problem I don't think because it still has power. The fascia still rotates itself but that's about it. I've done a search on google and apparently it was supposed to come with a keyfob that you had to use when reconnecting it. So, I think it's fubar unless anyone has a keyfob that I can borrow???
-
Got a Kenwood tape head unit connected to a cd changer. We disconnected the battery today and now the head unit won't work. Is there some kind of reset code that we're supposed to have??
-
There has been some discussion as to what colour it is, thanks for clearing it up Lee :D Hopefully going to get it this afternoon.......... :multi:

I've just changed my TPFT insurance from my 16v to a VR6 and my insurance didn't say I had to go fully comp, I chose to though. However, I'm 24 and have nearly 6 years ncb, oh and female which always helps when it comes to insurance
