Well as most of the ECUs these days do the same thing pretty much, here's a link to the Jampsort site offering the AustralianGotech MFi ProECU. See what you think. Starting from £250 with the wiring loom for the VR6 from £150 it's worth a look though the one you'd go for would be the £350 one as that offeres specific timing for individual cylinders which is what the ~VR6 needs in it's fine tuning. J, did you take the box out with the engine or just the engine it's self? I've generally taken the box out in one go 'cos always found it a real chore to try and leave the box in. Chris

Paul, just prompting you to get the ECU sorted or nothing will progress, that's all it's waiting for now that the high lift cams are installed, get it bought and we'll live map it on a bit of quiet straight road with the laptop and an emulator. I love it when people say things like that first comment on the Corrado forum, always makes me smile. I have to say though, Kev is right about the 6 pot being more to care for as you need to buy 2 more spark plugs and a bit more oil but i use mune for a daily drive and i'm a sales rep so do loads of miles and it's charged but nothing really goes wrong unless you have a total failure so on balance i think they are super cheap to keep on the road as things don't break like the seemingly fickle G60 plus mine gets driven like it's stolen a lot of the time. funny reading, sounded like the blind leading the blind lol :lol: I have a similar problem on my VR, not taken a look at it yet but i know there's a jubilee clip missing on one of the pipes around the ISV so i'll start there, other than that and i'll have to go a hunting and it's a process of elimination but the ABS isn't working either so there's a few things to contend with. not wanting to get technical about it but my breaks are impressive and yes there are a couple of tiny hair line cracke a couple of mills long but i drive it like it's stolen when the mood takes me and do 100 to 300 miles a day and they are so impressive and have resuced fade over lots i've experienced and these are 280mm discs. I was just seeing if there was interest in this service and don't want to get an anorak debate going so i'll finish there. Chris

Some time ago there was a conversation about sinusoidal cross drilled discs. i'm wondering what price people are paying for discs like these. My friend has a precision engineering company and is offering me a situation that allows me to custom produce these discs with whatever configuration holes you require. I'll mention more about this next time i'm on here but the main thing is to research the price and get things going. Chris

They rev easily to the red line and does no damage just likes being up there now and then, got to do that to show it who's the boss! Chris

One thing i can say is that i had an Audi 80 years ago and skimmed 1mm off the head and the difference was amazing, it revved higher and faster and the fuel economy and power were noticeably improved, what a difference for 1mm, so things can make a difference but also they need to be done right else too high and the lean mixture will burn a hole down the side of the piston! Why was the C/R raised? Is it using long duration cams? If so then you need to work out the dynamic C/R to see if it's done right. Chris

Pi*r2*h-clearence volume/swept volume is what you need, i'll tell you if you get the dimentions needed to work it out. Chris

Very interesting, i follow the gumball 3000 and the Bullrun ans a bunch of my friends either own or arrange the events, lots of inside stories i could tell, some very funny and some simply amazing! Iwill be going on the Bullrun in a few months from Montreal to Quay West. Chris
