Corrado Storm... available in more than a VR6?!?!
Chris VR6nos replied to vdubCorrado's topic in General Car Chat
lol that made me chuckle! Chris -
That will be the coil pack version Chris

Depending whick model it is, the cam position sensor has given plenty people trouble and rough running and feeling fairly down on power through the rev range, i think that are £30 and make all the difference once replaced by all accounts. I have a dizzy model so don't have one but if yours is a coilpack model that this may be it. If the crank position sensor stops working the engine won't run at all. Chris

I've always favoured Alpine and have the full sat-nav setup in my car. Chris

Haywire needs one of these instead of the girls one he currently plans to fit. Sure you could have squished a larger one in though by the space it looks that you have, prob with a bit more chopping or adjusting. Wonder what the figures are when RR'd Chris

Yeah but you love fluffy kittens too! Chris

JSB Racing Shiftlight kit - Pre-order for next batch
Chris VR6nos replied to mrbeige's topic in Suppliers Forum
Yeah but to be fair it's only going to come on at top revs and the revs will only be up there when you'd need a shift light, not a prob if not switched really is it ladies? Chris -
I have some on my car, they are Golf ones and you need to file them a bit to modify them to fit, it's not hard, get the GSF ones to fit. Chris

I wanna know what Phat face said! Chris

I don't even have a heater! Chris

Interesting, i'd like to see how close the VAG map runs the engine's fuelling on full throttle as 0.5 C/R point will effect this a fair bit i'd have thought, no good putting things at rise without looking into it. Chris

What next??????NOS-R32 conversion-Charger???????
Chris VR6nos replied to JIMMI's topic in Engine Bay
Well you would say that Stan 24v! I agree with you though, the 24v motor will obviously breath better. However H8RRA's 12v engine did alright with half the valves. I've ran 100bhp jets on a Wizard of Nos kit on my VR and it was fine. I also run a Vortech and they work together very well indeed! It only takes a few hours to fit a charger and you could easily fit a charger and a Nitrous kit in a day and transform the power and drive af an already good car. Plus you don't have the problems of the wiring and everything else that comes with a 24v conversion not to mention the extra cost of it all! Chris -
Once upon a time, when i was around the same age as you are now, i knew little or nothing about cars but was determined to find out. It's a learning curve which you can enjoy, the things you mentioned are easy enough to fix yourself. The rack is a little awkward but if you don't mind getting oily it's easy to replace. As for the wiring, get your soldering iron out and solder them together propperly, when you have done these things you will not only feel pleased with yourself but you will learn about your car and know those things are done and won't be a problem again, i'd keep it and tinker with it, it'll turn out to be a sorted car that you know well and fall in love with, mark my words. You may have to do similar or harder things to this new car if you get it so think what you want to do. VR6's go wrong the least and G60's seem to go wrong the most. Chris

Well you know what you need to do then....... Chris
-
Don't get any impression of speed though, what is it that you miss about the VR lukeage? the sound or power? Chris
-
That's a monster kurb you got there! Use a piece of plyboard, that should be enough to life it a few mm Chris
-
It's not about knowledge, it just does it, good cars these VR's you know, especially with a charger  Chris
-
If there wasn't a gap when the bolts are finger tight there would be no clamping pressure to hold the torque when pulling away. Chris
-
It's only an issue when you hit 400bhp and that's only when pulling away! Chris
-
See Kevin, that's what you need with 14psi going through it! Chris
-
Yeah the wheels are the bizz and the arches look as though they must be rolled? Chris
-
Ok we are all familiar with the OSF wheel, now what about the rest of it   Chris
-
I wanna have sex with it! Looks similar in size to my Skyline FMIC, infact i have the same bumper and grille and eyebrow as you too but in sexy satin silver! Chris
