WTF do you do for a job Rodders? Chris

How about a gearbox oil check or better still change it with the correct fluid and to the correct level, will probably help and i expect it's not been changed for years like mine. Chris

Superb supercar experience day....unfortunately not for me
Chris VR6nos replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
A lot of these cars are a bit of a let down, the Ferrari for example, i was expecting much more than it delivered sadly, the lambo should do the trick though but the RX8 is a family car, the scooby is flat ragardless and the XK8 wouldn't turn me on at all. Not that i'm saying they are crap cars because they aren't and it should be fun regardless of what you are in but don't expect too much else you'll be let down. Chris -
Kev, these? To you, £1024 Chris
-
Now now children, that's not the spirit is it! We all have German car don't we? Chris
-
If they carry out that proceedure then they should be able to work out the perameters if you brief them on what you are after. Call me some time and we'll have a discussion. Chris
-
If only i had the money. Why don't you do it Kev, catch up with H8RRA then! Chris
-
That's something i'd like too and a 6speed but will i ever get one? Chris
-
Hmmnnn......I shall follow this with interest A std lightened flywheel is a waste of time, an aly one is half the weight of even a lightened one so if you are after a result then get the propper thing, they aren't a fortune and worth it and are perfectly balanced. If you want great torque and are going to regrind the crank then look for someone to offset-grind the journals then offset grind the gudgeon pin bearings to correct the crown placement at TDC then you will have done two good things, firstly got a long stroke crank that will give more torque and secondly raised the compression to burn the fuel faster and give a stronger combustion and more power, non of this is space technology, pretty straight forward so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding an engine machine shop to do it. Then because you have the C/R to run cams you will get the benefit if you run a big profile. Chris

He WILL have something up his sleeve, probably an arm! Chris -
Not the best new i've ever had, i've grown up with this program and enjoyed it fromt he start. Chris
-
So can you reliner these little blocks and make them like a 2.5 or something? Chris
-
kind of all fits in the gutter area, not the underside of the bonnet but more like the side of the raised bit running away from where the hinges are. The knowledge base has pics there, go have a gander, all will become clear. Chris
-
Then you can use my CC-Calc (link in sig) to work out what the CC will become! I'd do it for you but don't know the stroke Chris
-
Furkz, they are fine, same as i used and they work well, you just need to use your noggin to fit them correctly, it's a bespoke installation i'm afraid but worth doing. Chris
-
How has this not been modded and cleaned up? Mine just get deleted! Chris
-
Funny, silly, but very helpfull! What a great forum! Chris
-
The side of the bonnet, it's not like a Golf where you have a bolt to replace with the provided nipple for the ram to clip onto, i had to drill and tap a thread into the side of the bonnet on the flat to screw the nipple into, you prob will have to do the same but i can't remember what non VR's bonnets are like cos it's been years since i had a valver. Chris
-
I had these on my VR, had to drill and do a little adjusting though. Chris

Nos is a nitrous oxide system and nowt really to do with Holley though they did grab the acromyn for thier kit thte yank nobs still...... I have the WON kit and think it's the easiest and best for support Chris
-
If it's not wet it's not leaking, go racing and see if it comes back once cleaned off! Chris
-
Nope, generally quite a bit dearer! Chris
-
Yeah but that 2nd vid the car blew up, how crap is that! the bloke crapped himself! Chris
-
I have 189,000miles and mine still runs ok and reaches 160mph no probs and i'm running a charger too as well as a wizard on nos kit which is the only one to go for as there are many benefits to it. I like the kick so don't use a progressive and have ran jets up to 100bhp which are in at the moment. A set of cams won't yeild much and you really need a remap to realize the gains which is an extra £360 or so ontop of the cams price. The choice is yours, The nitrous kit can always be taken from car to car as you changeg your vehicles over time and if there's something you can't beat, flick the switch and you can! The button pressing thing is only on films and anyone whom knows how nitrous works will laugh at anyone whom has a silly button fitted to the steering wheel. Azz turbo, fill in more of your profile so we can see where you are from and such mate. Chris

I have a T04 if you fancy something a little bigger again! Was going to put it on the Skyline but it's just sitting there and i have 2 of them anyway. Chris
