shiatzoo, your pulling my leg, what the feck! should i go back to them as they were well aware of what the car was! Even had the kiddy on the phone telling me how bad he wanted one etc etc ?? Guess that saves me buying a road angel then !

Bit childish posting this, new toys and all that, but thought you might like to pass comment. I will update tommorrow when i try them on for size. Tyres are Falken 205/45/16s. They are R rated, bit worried about that, anyone confirm if there good for a 150 test!? Presume Falken are pants :?: That aside im well impressed for £295 inc plated wheel bolts and even crome valve caps! True next day delivery and well helpfull on the phone! Don't want to blow my own trumpet  , but i reckon they are going to look far better than the price sugests on the car! :D I'd bet money that the bolts are too long for the front and hit the ABS rotors, but no biggie. Up early tommorrow then

Dinkus, yes please mate, i'll cross your palm with folded stuff at E38 if thats ok?
-
Yeah, and try and get them to sell you the metal one, i think NOT! I've tried 4 now and no sir you can't have one. I bought the plastic replacement for the tool kit, first plug i pulled snapped both the lugs off the brand new tool. in a word----------s...e ! Trying to get my garage to buy me one for them for me kinda thing, but they reckon £30 for the metal one? My main dealer still point blank refuse to admit that there are red plug leads with metal ends, they are all black with rubber ends...

To fit these do you need to shave off the little clippy bits or enlarge the whole channel? I know i know, vag reds are best, but i have these and cant afford the reds at the mo from the stealers! This is the 4th set i've bought so i will be using them!

Sorry mate, thought it was an insurance issue. Buy a G60 if you can or a vr6 if you want that v6 noise. Pron get shouted down here, but G60s seems easier to tune per £. Diff drive, they seem more racey hard edged wheres as the vr seems more gt tourer type refinement. Thats standard anyway imo, but how many are once you've had em 5 mins anyway!
-
Its a novelty thing at the mo! It will change when i put the parcelshelf supports back in!
-
Had'nt spotted those sills . Too bling for moi, i prefer yours actually raddostorm.

Mr Storm beat me to it!

Actually, that is a nice Nova! Anyway, where you based mate? Depending on that there may well be someone on here that could go with you too. No gaurantees if they did, but 2 pairs of eyes is better than one. If your anywhere near me i'd have a look with you. Cheers Nick PS: welcome to the forum, you are making a fine choice!

Looks better than mine full stop ! Agreed, off home to rip it awft

Gixxer, not sure that would have worked as it was soooo slippery. Plus im not that quick and was a bit dopey after work, well more than usual anyway!
-
Have to be even more careful with new tyres tommorrow, they will add to the slipperyness initially. Pretty much wont be driving until the camber gets done next friday though, as it will eat the new tyres in a week and a half! Despite yesturdays "lateral experiment", I am so so loving the car with this new suspension on, just awsome fun. Best mod ever, what a great car. And now its overfueling the pinking has gone. Only getting 14-19mpg but its going like a rocket! Sure Vince will bring me back down to earth with a bump when he tells me whats not working, i am expecting a LIST !
-
Cheers ChrisH, thats tonights job then! Golfs ive had have been well bad for dirt and really need the rear wiper but the raddo never gets anything. I assume due to the glass angle and the spoiler must stop the rubbish! Dont like many body modds but this apeals to me. 2cc, will call you later mate, have a shock solution that will save you a the trip cheers! Be nice to catch up again anyway soon, missing you 2 nutters already!
-
Tried the search with no joy. Is there a how to on removing the rear wiper? Assume you just gromit the hole after? Interested in what needs to come out of the tail gate and how? Cheers Nick

Fancy doing mine mate! Or have you had enough of my car in your life!! Looks fantastic.
-
Miltek, cant fault the fit, no knockage, very light. Only exhaust i've ever fitted that has given a noticable increase in the low and mid range. Not quite as quiet as i'd hoped being the only fault. Just right when cold but noisey for me when hot. Personal taste though, its a nice noise, just a tad loud for me on a light throttle at speed.
-
I think they are better towards the soft side (ALL ROUND), bit bouncy at the front otherwise. Im not intending to repeat the adventure anyway, i'd rather set it in "predictable understeer mode" !
-
I thought you'd be more worried about the car Dinkus! I actually feel like im glad i've got it out the way. I think you need to do it once to get your feet back on the ground. Even with dodgey camber i've been amazed at its sticking power now in the dry, but you become stupidly confident. Good to be reminded that there are limits. Yes Kev, I'd agree with your disciption of my set up skills. What a muppet! In my defence I had winjing in the background, can you please clear up this before you mess about with that car again...blah blah

arrr, eeew and feeeuw! Fiddling with my TA adjustment last night, amazing how much diff there is between hard and soft! Nice. Anyway, left the backs on hard and the fronts on soft last night after being distracted and went out for a spin. Came up to a wet roundabout doing about 60 going for a slight lift and exit first left, and schnawzers, i'm going backwards. Missed everything no harm done but suddenly found my self wide awake!! I know i know, you dont lift into a corner but there normally so forgiving you get lazy. What suprised me was the speed at which it snapped round. I presume this is due to my stupid choice of setings, and i should say less than perfect rear tread! Vallet now required

How much oil you guys using? Mine only seems to use a bit when reved hard and not that you would see out the back but it does go down the dip. Prob a litre every 1000 miles.
-
Mine is 123k with no work or chains. Its tappety but no more than that i hope! Had a head gasket at 100k (£950 from vag)....exqueeze me? Ill have a listen when i get home and let you know, mine prob will do it now i've read this thread!
-
5k's not enough!!!!!! if you can wait, put it in the VAG mag mate and get back what you paid for it no probs!
-
Not many people change them that i've seen so i say go for it mate. I would certainly be interested to see how you get on. Especially as its OEM+ rather than a plastic snow plough you see on some other modded saxos etc. I put a VR one on my mk2 golf and felt well satisfied after, looked great.
