seems to be the case with alot of jap and euro cars, none seem to have any torque at all, my g60 in its ill-running state is still more than a match for just about anything i've come across so far, including saxo,106's,celica's, mr2's a whole host of audi's volvo's and saabs, without torque they just seem to slip further behind

i got the same quote from ATS, plus i found out my middle pipe was bodged together out of bits from several 16v centre pipes, and that they couldnt order a middle pipe cause its a vag only part? went down the road to powerflow (the guy who fits em its a legend does great work [must be a first for PF]) and got a quote for a whole system for £305.

Bought a vacuum hose for TB > ECU got 4 fre clips, from an official VAG dealer! only cost me £2.50 too! might remove my bump strips tomorrow after i fit my new hose! then perhaps fit my new headunit and tidy up the atrocious wiring

i can get my g60 to around 37 tottling about town, 5th gear at 30 though. worst i've had is about 16 on a 1/2mile run just nailed it to 70 went round a roundabout then nailed it to 70 and turned off the carriageway to my house

well true, but a remapped s2k is going to flatten a 330d yes? and also note you have to be a complete pr!ck to drive a bmw, after working for them for a year i can testify to that. (though the d models are awesome)

i hate range rovers! i really hope his car was a REAL mess and it was brand spanking new, then we the insurance is put into your favour he has to pay all your damages and all of his (VERY) expensive ones. ahahhhha

black/blue rado on the a500 heading toward stoke/m6 missed the reg and model probably a vr or valver though.

more than likely its a ford, americans havent had any french cars sold on their market. they had a few fiats, and currently only get german/italian stuf now i think having said that a 1.8 valver would be fairly similar performance to a 306 gti6 if im not mistaken?

Graham_E, how much did you pay for that grille and is you car dropped? cause im looking at some 17's for my G60 and i think its probably gonna look like a damn 4x4 without a drop (dont wanna drop it too damn low for speed bumps already)

as you say you probably would regret modding a storm, if it was a standard VR6 then you'd probably be better for modding and adding them personal touches. i recently got a G60 myself and those niggly little problems dont ever seem to go away even if it was mint. if you think you can get a good swap for a VR that might be good? it really depends what your going to do to it i guess :D

i forgot to add a couple of cars to my list! nissan 300zx mitsubish 3000GT probably both suck alot but damn they look GREAT for jap cars, very much filling the lack of jap muscle niche.

i agree just buy the s200, great looking car very fast and probably pretty economical considering the performance! on the subject of z3's looked the buisness! 3.0 wasnt bad but the smaller engined models were so so slow. M coupe now were talking serious speed out of a breadvan!

pff who owns a vts? all these young idiots seem totally obsessed with their SHIT vtr's could pull fuckin skin of custard. (vts however aint a bad motor, same engine as mye dads 106gti just without the nice interior)

Directline Jimbo, which probably buggers me for any mods including wheels. but its the cheapest for me at the moment. -
is anything salvageable? the wheels look ok, maybe you can at least keep em for the next car/sell em on that was a really tidy lookinvalver too, i fuckin hate kids

oh one other thing. can somebody explain why the length of the hose makes a difference and why a split makes such a big difference? thankee :D (does this also account for a rich mixture?)

Gonna have to wait till next week before i can get time to pull off the hose. in the mean time is there anything else i can look for? at worst could it be charger wear? needing a service or something?

Right after 20minutes trying to find the right hose i *think i found it! its a very small black fabric braided hose? anyway it goes into the ecu and as somebody told me, its the only hose going in. i smeared fairy liquid all over the bloody thing (the bits i could reach) started her up no bubbles and no sucking noises naathing, am i still looking in the wrong place or is there another explanation?
