  1. Well after reading the thread over and reminicing i am now truly sad, been ok all night, had a couple of drown my sorrow beers and its hitting home whats actually to come now :( It seems my plan was initially right all along but the timing was all wrong, absolutely way off it seems.

  4. Well its all an as and when at the moment, hopefully start to gather bits and bobs for now until after my holidays in september then get stuck into alot of cold winter nights, depending how much i need more funds i may also have to sell the Recaro leathers :( Im estimating 4k at the moment to get to 400bhp if not ever so slightly more power, thats now the goal anyhow, decided against 4wd too..
  5. Cheers guys, its a shame as i do love it still but greater things will come im sure. Its only dead in the sense that the turbo and exhaust manifold are foobared but the engine itself is spot on.
  6. Hahahaha good man, have a read of mine, not quite as bad as yours but still were in the same boat dude.
  7. The new standard issue suit 0605_gay_navy_400x329.jpg[/attachment:30om7p0b]
  8. Well after getting the head off and stripping it down of its 2 manifolds and finding the exhaust manifold had cracked and snapped where it bolts to the head on 1 of the lugs, and my exhaust housing on the turbo wastegate has also cracked i have now decided its finally time to put the 8vT to rest, she has served me very well over the last few years, we have had both our ups and downs too over the said few years but the fun along the way has been immense and far outweighs the lows that have happened. So the new chapter begins...............to be continued.............. At some point when i find the time to strip out the block and box i will have for sale my :- 1900cc (1870), forged JE 83mm pistons, 20v/16v 144mm rods, standard crank, all lightened and balanced Big Valve head, flowed/ported & polished, Piper 285 cam R.I.P

So why did they make 6 ltd editions or however many really early on then, i honestly thought and i dont know why there were the last of the line as there are so few made.
  17. I thought the campaigns were the last of the line so they would be late spec but on that it has early heater slider controls?
  18. Just got the head off now and i am wondering why nobody has tried to stop me doing all this yet??? I think it must have been running quite rich for quite a good long while now, there is carbon build up on the valves and around the valve port chamber thing that sits above the pistons, assume thats not normal??? Will upload some pics tomorrow now when its lighter.
