I think what he meant was get it on the rollers and have a play around adjusting them to see where the power/torque moves to.

Well i have just started and drove my car for the 1st time since mid november :D i nearly forgot how good to drive these are even when they drive crap :D I have to retract my previous statements in the past regarding FK "boneshakers", they are firm but well controlled and do a bloody good job consideing what is asked of them, its when you use them all the time as in a daily that they become uncomfortable and tiresome. Not too sure on the pads yet, Ferodo DS2500, done all the breaking in of the pads as per instructions, now i suspect they still have some more to come from them once they get a few more miles on them, done approx 30 miles so far. Where my standard pads in the 4 pot Brembo's had a really good initial 1st bite to them then faded these seem to brake consistently to pedal pressure, so when i brake lightly so do the pads and when i brake quite hard so do the pads and dont seem to fade so far they just keep gripping but i havent really pushed them really hard yet so we will see how they are with more miles on. They just feel really really predictable which i like i just thought they would keep a good 1st bite then really bite harder without fade. The new steering wheel is fantasticly comfortable, 320mm is the perfect size and it made me feel like when you watch an F1 driver from the in car cam watching them steer, awesome.

So you kept it quiet for 3 hours  dont blame you though i would be shouting it from the roof tops. Looks loads better though. ROFL

And just noticed FERRARI brakes

If your talking nice BBS as in the traditional style RS's then you need BBS RS 301's but they cost a mint and you dont see too many around and they still might not clear your brakes.

I think generally its not a bad looking car apart from the front is too conservative, but whichever way they went with the styling it its still a Mk6 golf in my eyes.
-
I would buy 1 of these in a shot if they had the guts to make either. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfBeast concept.jpg[/attachment:3mhghve1] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfNew Corrado.jpg[/attachment:3mhghve1] e0ed94599b94b7f07d7c72aa393b377a_1.jpg[/attachment:3mhghve1]

Dinkus, i totally agree with your post as yes more air moving means more mid bass when mounted solid, more crisp is a good word you use as it sounds more but is most likely not, just your getting the best from the speaker. Jim, you may be surprised, im not saying it will be the best and its not all about the power rating but the processing power in terms of say a PC, like you can have the best, fastest speed internet but no processing power in the PC then it will still be slow i guess, where as if you have a fast large processor and average speed internet, then it will most likely be quicker than the former. I may be wrong with that but trying to compare it to something you may be able to get your head around all the ideas. Apply the theory to headunits and speakers and amps kinda thing. I know the car that won quite alot of competitions with a £200 alpine headunit, way different set up but the point is yes you dont need to spend a fortune, just choose wisely. I cant offer any suggestions as i have high end audio in mine and believe you need amps and processors etc, so i will end the posting now Jim :D The car i said above i know its not what your looking for but just thought i would show you it as it is well cool and the pictures do not show it for how good it actually is, you need to read it by the way as all is not what it seems 8) Have a look and read around the site when you have time though, honestly call them though as they will and do do all size systems and budgets.

Im sure you will find this place Eurospec Sport a very interesting read yet a surprisingly good wallet emptier at the same time. Good luck, hopefully see you around these parts again in the future.

Officially i do dont i? Just the south of it. You think i would be used to the cold in my job, but mmmm NO, your right though i must be a big wuss then :D
-
I disagree Dinkus from the point when an amp is used. The pre amp and the amps are more important. You can make crap speakers sound good with decent amps and make good speakers sound crap with crap amps. You send a good signal in the 1st place to the amp, the amp tells the speakers what to play, so as long as the system is set up right crap speakers should sound good. The amp makes the sound quality. So in the case of no amp the head unit needs to send a good sound in the 1st place to the speakers which i think is where your point comes from of importance in your order. Conclusion were both right :D And all people saying to move some serious air from the speakers, that does not dictate sound quality, thats just volume, there is a huge difference, and just moving air does not dictate more bass/mid bass, just volume.

11 deg the whole year!! - You need to moe further South me thinks! :) Oh yes i certainly do, the weather up here in the north of england has some of the finest cold weather the uk has to offer.
-
Its all as good as your weakest part of the system More power is not always better either a 200w clean power will sound better and louder than 400w crap power.

Im not sure if i can replace the N75 valve on mine as it runs through the ECU boost control dial as well so not sure how it all wires up etc. I never knew i had 1 either till i had all the paperwork out the other day.
-
I hope your talking 11 degrees f not c as were well below 11 c pretty much the whole year.
