I've just come from trying to fit my v1s to my car. Got the fronts on without too much bother, apart from faffing with the camber. But when it came to the back. After removing the old strut and having a look. The thread is bigger than the v1s, so none of the nut and washers etc for the topmounts will fit the coilover! I am right in thinking that it's just one coilover kit that fits all the varieties? Do I just need to get top mounts and plates washers etc from a smaller engined Corrado? Fed up I couldn't get the rears on today! Any advice would be great..

FREE black doorcards & a few other bits for sale

Cheers Joe, picked the cards up yesterday. They are in fact different because of the stitch pattern. Its raised more with diagonal lines but they are black so I'm sure they would look fine... Ok I'll come and take a look and probably take them off you. I'll probably drive to you on my way to Egham from Hove on Saturday morning/early afternoon. Depending on how much I lay in :) Did you want to pm me your number and address etc? Cheers -
It does look in good nick. I was kind of hoping for something a little different maybe like a G60 leather but if I can have it for £60 all in I'll take it? Thanks

FREE black doorcards & a few other bits for sale
VRTrickster replied to BadMeatPies's topic in Parts for Sale
Yeah they didn't come with purple fleck on the the door cards. They are just black. I was wondering if they were the lighter grey ones that I've seen. They do look the same as mine. Are you around at the weekend? I'm going back to Egham over the weekend so you shouldn't be that far from me? Oh is there any damage at all? Cheers -
I'm after a steering wheel in great condition for my VR6. Preferably OE leather but would consider non OE, anyone?

If the door cards are the standard black colour? I would love to take them off your hands. Its just the close up of the fabric is making me wonder. I have the purple/blue fleck black interior? The car is not near at the mo to have a close up look at the fabric, ha ha -
I still have MPG readout from the MFA? ;)

Right I sorted it yesterday. So the wiring for the spade type connections are: VR6 Vauxhall Pin out 1/6 - 3 3/4 - 2 2/5 - 1 12V - 4 I haven't noticed a considerable difference but I haven't driven it much yet. Although I did replace the battery at the same time so needs to calibrate again. It does seem to rev smoother:)
-
I didn't get chance to look at it today, to busy. Probably Friday now. I have checked the continuity of the wiring and it's fine. I might of blown the ICM maybe trying cables in the wrong order. We'll see.
-
Ok, going to have another go at this today seeing as though I'm of work and it's not raining yet. I'll check the ICM first to see if it is triggering. If the leads are in the correct order I'll be able to just swap round the three spade terminals to the coil pairs. I'll let you know how I get on.

Here are some pics of the set up.
-
The leads where in there usual location with the coil pack installed upside down like yours. Yes they are the same part number. I'm trying to get some pics up, it's just I've got a new flashy phone and haven't worked it out yet. It is a Beru pack but the ICM contacts are at the top near the main 5 pin socket. I've had the car running with the the coil pack that the ICM has come from but is there a way I can test it? The resistances of both coil packs is just under 11.5 about on each pair. The ICM connections are when fitted to the car from left to right are 1/6, 3/4, 2/5, 15. Thanks Rick
