Turned me into a semi-hermit and broken my soul....
-
I thought they were called "tricks" in his line of work.

I'd buy a mk2 deisel golf gearbox mount, muchos cheaper and will function pretty much the same. The gearbox mount should have 2 holes each side, the rear engine mount is different, but I can't picture it off the top of my head.

Only the 9A has 2 switches, the KR has one.

That's Bally's car I think. Pretty sure it's his brother that does the detailing...

I know... You've never jumped me like that before! I'll sleep well tonight now. :porc:

Use advanced search and use combinations of words, select topics rather than posts and specific forums, interior, exterior etc, and you'll get loads of info. Use the + symbol to ensure that certain words are included, and the - to omit words, I used "+spoiler +not +working +wire" to get the results below... search.php?keywords=%2Bspoiler+%2Bnot+%2Bworking+%2Bwire&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=topics&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

i think that they both bolt up to the front of the roof with a little bracket with a couple of rubbery mounts to stop it vibrating, so as long as you fit the right motor with the right bracket you should be fine. The wiring is different and the panel might not fit, but judging by your question in Mrbeiges thread, you look like you have new gear to fit anyway...

Yeah, You need to do it up a bit to make sure everything seats properly, then back it off and nip it up till you can just move the washer underneath it.
-
The rear bearings will need retightening as they settle in, they are all nicely packed out with grease, and you did tighten them until you could just move the washer with a screwdriver, the castlated washer and split pin are all fitted I assume? I had to re tighten mine several times until they settled on the valver. There is still a little play from cold, but nothing serious.

And they were £7 million each in New Zealand! Well, nearly that much...
-
I thought you meant gear knob too, how about SEAT toledo heater panels?
-
Good work mate.... That coolant has't even been in the car that long has it? how many miles since the engine went in?
-
Looked good in black, but I quite like the primer look. Those old front disks weren't getting much pad contact at all.

Which tools do I need for basic Corrado maintainence

No worries, if you're looking for A VAG COM cable on Ebay, you might well see it advertised as OBD2, but it will work. -

Lol.... Fuel prices, whilst made up of a large proportion of tax are being pushed up by Opec. Look at deisel prices, 10 years ago, before there were many deisel cars, it cost less than unleaded. People started to buy more cars running on it, as it was so much cheaper, now there are plenty of cars using deisel, it's costing more than super. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned its all down to the Paedos...... -

Buy the 3/8 stubby flexi ratchet. Really good little tool. All corrados were built with OBD1 management, some have been converted. the connectors vary between early and late cars, earlies have a 2x2 connector, which is a pair of rubbish spadesque connectors, late cars use OBD2 style connectors with a big oblong plug. OBD 2 management is more complex, has more controls and better diagnostics. 1/2 inch breaker bar too... -
Hehehehehehehehe

Pm a bloke called Zerocool on here he sells them. Spline sockets for driveshaft bolts (might not need them yet), I'd look at getting allen key sockets if they aren't in the 250 piece set, water hose clip removal tool (kinda ratchet thing) The VR needs a big socket for the oil filter, can't remember how big though... Pliers and water pump pliers are handy. A punch, a hammer (no need for a massive one). A breaker bar... There's loads of other useful stuff you'll pick up along the way no doubt. -
Looks good Mrs Beige. Looking forward to having a nose around it in a couple of weeks....

Surely that just means your mum is awesome? I'm sure Toad told me that already anyhow.... She was good, not a patch on your Dad though Sonicriot13, that was a fun weekend.....
