  1. You can be booked for eating or smoking at the wheel, smoking isn't very different really...
  2. Speak to G60 SC Stoney he's from round your way and is having a bit of paint work done ;)
  3. Looks good mate! Think I might try to fit my 90mm splitter to the white beast having looked at yours, been meaning to do it for ages, but you know what things are like. You and Nik coming down for the G Werks open day? Stay at mine on the Saturday night if you fancy?
  4. I have a vr6 and a 16v, which will both be on the road soon. Insurance is £350 and £320/year fully comp on both. I ran both briefly before the 16v tax ran out, and tbh its more a way of keeping myself mobile when one car breaks/needs work. Tom
  5. Use a hammer and a punch to give the nut a hiding, this should help to loosen it up, and invest in a breaker bar.

    Bloody hell

I've done the maths. Supposing you are travelling at 176mph and a badger runs out in front of you, and you hit it with a wheel, your car would accelerate upwards at 104.9m/s*. Admitedly your suspension would mean that the actual car wouldn't lift that quickly, but I think it might make you crash. * using UK standard badger specs equivalent to ISO 223437

Sentance Looks like he got 10 weeks cuddling up to another bad man in a cell... He's a bit of a plonker for doing that speed, but I think we've all had a go at reaching silly speeds before, haven't we???
  8. They are H3 fitment I believe, if that helps.
  9. Well, refitted the dizzy, wacked a battery back on it and she started up straight away, took it for a quick blast up the "private runway" to blow the cobwebs out, and I really miss it.... Must work to get the few niggles sorted now. Will get some new pics of the pair soon.
  10. Use the search, it's been talked about quite often.
  11. It doesn't have an engine, gearbox, interior, seats....
  12. You need an especially deeply cranked spanner, I bought one at BVF specially for this., otherwise use a pair of mole grips to clamp a socket and drop the allen key through the top. If you want to borrow my spanner, I'll be in Fareham tomorrow could meet you somewhere.
  13. Howdy mate :) Can't see myself getting hold of a small compressor and gun in the next few hours to be honest :( Hopefully I have enough 'chub' to simulate 2 people? :) Nice tip on the old wheel brace dude :) They can be bloody tight, so you might need a chum, but as they are quite new so they shouldn't be too stuck. I'd get distressed if you need a bigger lever that the wheel brace as the allen key would start to open out fairly easily above that.
  14. Fix the dipstick tube now, otherwise you could end up with too much or too little oil.
  15. My tip would involve a chubby friend to put the wheel brace over the allen key and hold it, alternatively try to borrow a small compressor and a windy gun, but that might be less easy though. They are bloody tight quite often and needing 2 people and getting medieval on it's ass isn't unusual.
  16. Thermostat housing on the end of the head, the rad hoses go to it, not easy to spot the leak from it. look toward the starter motor for water. Header tank cap could be tired as well, only £8 + VAT ish from the dealer, so worthwhile picking up.
  17. Mine was ex demo, and had the leather interior, and a towbar no other extras though. Think dealerships will try to get a small range of specs of cars in, although this won't count so much for a fairly neiche car like the corrado. I know of a few corrados that were ex demos, including I think a Storm...
  18. Doubt it'll be this weekend tbh :) Probably when I get the valver on the road, if that's ok? Would be nice to stretch its legs a bit...
  19. I have one (K&N) on my 1.8 16v so it doesn't matter if I get over heavy with the oil, however I'd feel nervous about fitting it to my vr as I don't want to cock the maf up. Oh, and I'd probably not go to the trouble of buying one, but this one was fitted. It is nice being able to clean the filter every year or so,
  20. Just for you then Dom, piccie of a meet last weekend down in Beaulieu :-): Tempest You should have givwen me a shout Eric, I don't live too far from Beaulieuieueuueuueueueueuaaauauaueeiiru (sp?) Could have met up for a pint...
  21. You looked at it long enough to notice that???? I was doing a bit of work on a horsey place one day, and the owner, in her late forties to fifties came out in a pair of pink hot pants with a similarly misadvertiseing slogan accross the arse. She made me feel sad.
  22. Will the group buy be a case of first come first served? Bloody hell Dan, didn't know it was costing that much..... Bet it will be stunning though, lead filler is the way forward it seems. On the other sde of the coin, I'm going to have a crack at the vr myself, on the worst panels. If I cock it up, I can always try again, or just stum up the cash for a professional.
  23. ..that is why i'm having problems sleeping recently! People don't want to hear about our late night bedroom activities....
  24. I'm a lover not a fighter Steve, you should know this.
