  1. :D It'll certainly be a lot closer... :) :thumbleft:
  2. This bending can cause them to lock out too... Was reading Harry Metcalfes column about his Clio in EVO this month.
  3. A nice little brunette, pert arse, tight little shorts, cowboy hat, and he might have some friends he could bring....
  4. Tha's exactly what I've used! Although i've then got the VW schultz on top of that and then mystic blue over that....Agree with you about the other places but was only really talking about the underneath of the car. Yeah sorry, I didn't want to get too involved in the other areas either, but I couldn't help myself :D The Acid etch primer is brilliant, it sticks like poop to a blanket (lesser primers wipe or flake off too easily) and prepares the surface very nicely indeed. It takes rubberised underbody compounds really well, which is better than putting it on bare metal imo. Whereabouts were you buying the primers etc from?
  5. I don't think the gentle slap of leather on leather will encourage a broken allen key out....
  6. As I recall I wacked a bit of Hammerite on the front subframe when I did the cams. Think it was a case of a quick wire brushing and paint where it was getting a little tired looking. Was pretty solid, but might be worth casting an eye over.
  7. Yup, don't have much choice now with half the allen key snapped off in the bolt. Need to set about the rest of the bolts with a hammer I think. Didn't really help that I was attacking the bolts in the dark.
  8. Pooh hill is there because we're going to throw Steve / Supercharged in it when he's there next  Indeed. It'll force him to push back... :norty: Thanks for all the offers of help guys. :) Much appreciated. Going to try to get a few bits thrown on or prepared this weekend.
  9. Yeah that's what I said when I started out on the conversion, but it was also going to take two weeks......... Mine was going to be back on the road with a fully rebuilt engine in March 2008. :)
  10. :) You've made some good progress. :) Only problem is that Herisites will get jealous that you're Kev's bitch now....
  11. Think of it this way, it'll be far better protected, so it'll be better in the rain than it was before, plus it'll be easier to clean now... I'm building my cars up so I can go out and abuse them no matter the weather. Mind you, mine will never be a patch on yours...
  12. Tonight I got a nice new metal cabinet off the neighbours farm, and emptied all of the cack from inside the car out and put it into the cabinet. Quite nice to have an empty car. Found my 17mm ratchet spanner too. :) Also cleared the 16v out and found a new tool box which is too big :( Tried removing the rear caliper carriers, and broke my allen key socket. :( Gonna try and see if they will exchange it. Apart from that, just sat in the car and wondered what it would be like to drive again.
  13. Cheers Jim. This month won't be terribly productive for me I'm afraid. July would be a lot better though. Would really like a hand at some point. I do like my belly being rubbed. :) That pic needs its own caption contest. Like "Damn i just got done moving all that pooh" But funnier. LOL! Do it!
  14. How about an old cassette player and a tape of me groaning and rustling about? Know exactly how you feel though. I'm awful for not getting stuff done. :(
  15. That is absolutely stunning!
  16. Haha. How about a little bit of romancing? Whenever you could come up would be great. I'll drag the car out and get it washed again.
  17. I really wish I had the patience or energy to do this! Looks immense :salute:
  18. Cheers dude. Sadly the paint is beyond normal cleaning products. Need to have a go at it with an orbital polisher and some G3
  19. Nope, not from there. I'll snuffle around and try to find the bloke out.
  20. Quite possibly... I sat in the valver today and burnt my arse on the seat belt buckle, and thought how little I want leather seats. I did half offer them to someone else a little while ago though. I'll speak to them and get back to you.
  21. They weren't trimsport braces. They were off some bloke on E38. And it might be that your car is 10mm too narrow... I seem to remember that there is a lot of variation in Corrado shells.
  22. No worries. Just been fixing the links to the images in a couple of posts. The paint on the VR was so much better when I first got it. :(
  23. That'd be great. Should be able to afford some more parts in July, so can get on with things again.
  24. Can't you change your name by Deedpoll to J-Bob Rom?
