But he did use the search! Can we keep him?
-
Karl, why not charge a finders fee in order to fund a remap? ;)
-
That'll dry out. But, it does look pretty rusty. would be well worthwhile removing the battery, cleaning up the battery tray and repainting it before it rots out.
-
Testicles. :(
-
I've been snuffling around a lot of VAG and Ford cars, and there seem to be a lot of 288/312 esque calipers used on cars, perhaps with the correct carriers. Just need to find someone who will let me take their car apart. ;)
-
That looks stunning...

I thought it was the same price after recieving a mixed batch of Plus and Plus Plus. Believe it is the replacement for G12 Plus, so it should be fine. Only noticed the Plus Plus bit out the corner of my eye.

Is that a golf in that picture?

Extendable leg support things too.

Coolant drop 9a / tiny bit of creaminess on the oil cap
Toad replied to radness's topic in Engine Bay
If you're just doing short journeys, then I wouldn't panic too much, it's chuffing cold and damp at the moment. Keep an eye on the coolant level over the next few weeks. There's a lot of pipes/flanges that could be leaking. -
Nice work. You just need to beef up the roof a little so you can dangle an engine from it... :)
-
Remove the battery or airbox and use a hacksaw blade to cut a slot into the top of the screw so that you can get a flat bladed screwdriver into the slot. Very time consuming and boring, but it will work.

try using the search, a lot of people have had this issue, this thread from the corrado club of canada is supposed to be very useful too. http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8848

Try the X relief relay too. Just thought of that...
-
Just don't drive the car too hard.
-
Just fix it, and you needn't worry either way. You're more likely to see a big air leak from a knackered pcv valve or associated pipework. Have you Vag Comed the car to see what it's actually doing? Lamba values below 1 indicate it is running lean and above indicate rich I believe.
-
Knackered ignition switch? Normally affects corrados by stopping them from starting, but can imagine them failing in other ways too.
-
It will affect mixture, but possibly causing it to run lean, as air would be pulled in without passing through the MAF.
-
Now, now boys.... I like it, not exactly worth while if you're not towing things, but I like toys. :)
-
As far as I am aware it just makes the ecu think that the pedal has been pushed a bit further, up to the limit of the original pedal. It's a trck used by some remappers to make you think that the car is more responsive when actually all that has happened is that the pedal sensitivity has been increased.
-
The tools are crap too. :(
-
New plugs and leads time. :)
-
So if any one relay packs up you only lose 1 headlight.
-
Believe it runs to the carbon canister from the throttle body.
-
Get a pulley off a later car of MK3 mate - thats a well known issue with the KR engine... Yeah I know about those, but I'm a pikey and don't want to spend the money. ;)
